If you are playing this with friends on your own private server make sure that the person with the least activites outside of gaming is hosting the server.
My friend is hosting the server and for every minute I cant play I get sadder and sadder

It's a sollid game and probs best zombie sim out there but the devs should be publicly shamed for the speed of the development. The game has been in EA for 13+ years, this is not normal, features that they promised to first buyers in 2010-2011 like animals and npcs have never been introduced. In the last few years the modders managed to create mods like superbnpcs or bandits mod along with countless others, and its only these mods that keep this game alive. The pz community on reddit defends this predatory behaviour claiming that "devs need time to cook" not realizing that they fell for a ruse, these people (the devs) have no intentions of finishing the game in forseeable future, they've already made millions and they have no need to work hard so they dont. They could never make npcs even tho this is what was promised to original buyers back when this game wasnt even on steam. I've also heard that Indie Stone (the developers of the game) created 2 other games during all this time when PZ is being worked on.
Some people compared IndieStone to George RR Martins of gaming industry, like Martin who has no inclination of finishing his books, they are happy to work as slowly as possible because the suckers will keep buying an unfinished product. However the tide seems to be changing and it seems like more and more people are waking up and calling the devs out on their unsavory practices.
