After barely 7 hours of play I just can't imagine when I'll ever stop playing this game. The game looks absolutely gorgeous at max settings: you wouldn't even expect this with a 60 euro, AAA game. The interface is instinctive, the gameplay nothing short of sublime and thrilling.
It's a shining example of how a good game should play out. Congratulations to Unkown Worlds Entertainment for making such a gem.
1. download game
2. open game.
3. make new world.
4. go in water to collect resources.
5. get scared shitless by a noise in the distance (it was just a reefback)
6. finally get back to life pod with recources.
7. make scaner and knife.
8. go to the crashed aurora thinking im unbeatable with my fancy new knife.
9. find big fish with long arm thingys on its head.
10. try scanning the big fish with long arm thingys on its head.
11. get eaten by big fish with long arm thingys on its head.
12. change underpants
13. uninstall and swear to myself never to play again.
14. repeat above steps every one to two weeks

What an amazing little gem of a game! The gameplay is solid and the story enticed me to keep going. I can't believe it slipped under my radar for so long. That's not to say the game doesn't have its problem. I ran into a few bugs in my 50 hours of play time. And some of the textures were were downright ugly, especially on the Aurora. But all in all this is still a solid 8 for me, especially at that price point. Def worth a buy and thumbs up from me.
amazing, beautiful. Scary AF. I wish i played it sooner but pretty good to have subnautica to discover during the corona isolation. Best time to discover all the deep sea has to offer.
