This game has been getting a lot of unjust flak lately.
It currently Looks like a AAA title, and plays like an AAA title, but is a bit short in content, hence the price point. I do not experience this game as buggy and unstable. It plays just fine for me. It has an incredibly satisfying core gameplay and fantastic atmosphere, and an absolute banger of a soundtrack. If Fatshark continues publishing DLC campaigns I will surely get them all.
Looks pretty but it runs horrible. I have i9 12900K, RX 6900XT, 64Gb ram and my PC is kneeing by the pressure on low graphic settings with everything turned off in 1440p. Everything runs at 100% with max temps and fan ripping the air.
I wish i could get a refound...
I feel like, there should be a neutral option for the give or non give recommendation to this game.
This game is not polished. They delayed the release, and it's obvious it was not finished anyway.
II can understand though, that they had to make a release now, or ppl would prob not even play the game.
Hopefully they will optimize it. But tbh, I worry a lot when I see that Fatshark has been doing to their games. I played Vermintide 1, and 2. I enjoyed them a lot, though the 2nd game became a pay for cosmetics, and I didnt like the cheap way to get the best weapons. I see same pattern in Darktide alrdy.
This is why I can't give it a remommendation. Instead of focusing on releasing a stable, functional game. The team has put efforts in cosmetics alrdy, ofc it's fun to be able look unique. I see no issue with that. BUT. It kinda disgusts me seeing that you can alrdy buy gear, for real money. Being a little moneybank right there. Before the game don't even function. That is why I am not positive.
The game is fun. But it's not mindblowing. Maybe it can become rly good. But the amount of hyping for this game, the waiting, and we don't even get better than beta. It's not worthy a recommendation.
If you are a big fan, then ofc buy the game, try it and see if you enjoy it. I will certainly play it with my friends. But not with randoms. To much crashing, no bot options. But we can buy stupid hats, and armor. Yeah. Weird prios imo. I thought they had learned from Vermintide 2.
Cool monsters but the popo graphic settings don't cut it. It's better to use some of your free time to fix your basic problems instead of wasting it on your shady microtransaction business you have going on there. Loved hacking the scooby doo enemies but they all look the same? Quite difficult to see which enemies are more dangerous than the others. But it's pretty funny considering vermintide 2 basically solved that by painting them red. How hard is it to copy your old design? But whats up with the graphical stuff, are all companies looking for a way to make it harder for the player to play the game and enjoy the view? Do they actually think that everyone has a 3080 board at standby that they can plug in whenever they want? What kind of sugar daddy witchcraft is this?
I have less money than your budget for customizing! Consideirng everyithing is behind a paywall. Did they forget that the game already cost 40 euro? Why not crank it up to 60 euro, no one would care except warhammer femboys who would probably defend this game perfectly generic layout to the end! long live the human god! Marcus Bromander! I'm also thumbs down for this game because I can't stand that this isn't vermintide 3. I want vermintide 3 NOW
