I'm 3 hours in and I don't want to go to bed but I have no choice. That says it all because I'm hooked immediately. Thegame is gorgeous, runs extermely smooth (even on my rig which is over 5 years old)! Started with the campaign and can't wait for tomorrow evening and then a very long weekend which feels like a warm bath already. The story so far (combined with the tutorial) is exiting. Everything I hoped for is delivered so far and I feel confident to rate the game. 9.5/10!
Only dowside is my ugly 'sister'. You get the choice to play with her or with the brother, but because of her ugliness this was not an option for me. Why can't they make her at least somewhat hot, or loveable to my eye. But that aside: it's FAN-TAS-TIC!

Voordat het een beetje interessant gaat worden, ben je zo bezig met de fijn afstelling van het op peil houden van het benodigde voedsel en de vereiste goederen, dat dit geneuzel je je neus uit komt en heb je spijt van het forse bedrag wat je hiervoor hebt moeten neertellen.
Anno heeft kennelijk nog steeds niets geleerd van eerder gemaakte fouten. Ze lanceren weer dezelfde kak en laten het aan ons om het op te lossen. Jullie moeten je schamen.
Aside from the usage of AI, which I am vehemently against, especially for bigger, richer studios, this game is not worth the price tag at the moment.

As you can tell from my hours played... It was not 30 hours. It was 8. And I am a significantly slow player. Damn. I was expecting more than the shortest storyline known to man.
If you're looking for a new adventure after playing Anno 1800, be prepared to be disappointed. The game looks great and some new features are decent, but..
The game is way to easy, upgrading is very quick, the UI looks and feels unfinished.
Even features such as a shortcut for production stats is gone, prudction rate (+/-) is gone, and every stat needs to be checked from the bigger pile. Game performance is a joke, running a 5080, only getting 60fps, with upscaling just minor increases.
Bought it (Gold Edition) to support Ubisoft in their development, now I can only hope they put some serious updates in, not just patches left and right.
Game would be fantastic, if it were not that multiplayer / co-op is completely broken and unplayable at this point. No word from the developers. Only buy if you want to play alone
