This game has everything going for it. Amazing sound, good optimization, a destructible environment, immersive details such as being able to pull a downed ally out of the fray, weapons and gear that get dirtier as you stay in the fight. It looks good, plays good. Even on launch day and beta. Smooth launch!
But.
It does not feel like Battlefield. First of all, the maps are cramped. You just run and gun, nothing else. It does not matter where you are, how much you've cleared and secured, there is no front line. You are just constantly surrounded by people who, like in CoD, slide, jump and sprint around. On almost every map the only competitive weapons are the ones with a high rate of fire, or a shotgun. Everything else is just too slow. There are a few exceptions, but the core of what i described remains the same even on those maps.
I usually play support and I can insta revive 3-4 people in a second here, If it's even worth doing. The game does not ecourage team strategic play the way BF did before. It does not feel meaningful to set up position and hold an objective as a squad. If one squad mate dies, there's barely any time to revive them, and even if I do we might get gunned down by someone who 360 no scopes us just around the next bend. You just run back and forth, A-> B -> A -> C. Die, spawn, rinse and repeat. And If you're a BF player you KNOW that kills does not matter, you play as a team, play the objectives, play your combat role. But it's not true here. Get the most kills, win. Scoreboards look exactly like fast run and gun games. (Yes i'm aware you score by keeping flags, but every flag/ point is just wiped of people 3 times every every minute that capturing these locations does not come down to actually playing objectives, it's just where the run and gun takes place)
It's all designed to funnel all players into one huge meat grinder. The maps are not designed like Metro, but they all give the same kind of gameplay, except you will be fired upon from all sides, not just from the front.
All the carefully crafted details i mentioned at the beginning of this rant is hard to even notice when everything goes so fast. Can you imagine this, if it was added to a BF game like BF1? A game that made you feel like a human in a dangerous place and not like a super human constantly traversing the map like it's nothing?
I have not even cared to play with vehicles yet because the maps does not invite to it like before, and I used to love squading up in a tank with my friends, feeling like a crew keeping ol' Bessie alive.
Bottom line, this is basically CoD with vehicles and BF elements. I really hope they sort it. For now, the biggest maps is the best bet at some sort of BF feeling, but i'm not really feeling it there either.

Map design is shit, this is Cod-field now, run and gun hip fire smg orgie, not for battlefield fans
even if you want to search for a conquest map, you get a run and gun map
EVEN IF YOU BROWSE for 1 map that you like, you get shunted into a bad run and gun map
This IS REALLY just call of duty, with some cars, i have no idea what happend to this genre, they lost their way, catering to a fanbase of a diffrent game ( wich we all know has Autism and ADHD, and cant keep consentration for longer than a tiktok video )

I mean the gameplay is nice but the map for 64 players is just really small, They need to fix that fast! also reviving is way to fast.
