I feel like there is a really good game in here... its just not there yet. Wish I could give it a "meh" rating, Shooting feels kinda weak, and I don't mean damage numbers. I'm talking the feel, the sound, the feedback, the rag dolls, anything to make it feel like I'm shooting a gun, not a pea shooter. Most gun sounds flat out suck. Same with the abilities, they feel so.... puffy? the damage AOE slam for example, doesn't feel like I'm exploding in an AOE around me. It feels like like a fart. Dodging sucks. feels bad. compare it to any other dodge in any other rogue lite or any other game similar to this (The Ascent for example) it just... feels off. like its almost good, but its not good, its bad. Also the cool down on the dodge is a little cringe but Ill put up with it. I'll update this review as I play, but right now these are my initial impressions.

it's like The Ascent, but it's half the price and has better music

Pros: #1. Most maps have an easy/hard/nightmare setting so you can grind previous levels (even boss fights) on harder difficulty to get better loot if you want #2. The music is very good, like almost as good as Cyberpunk2077's music #3. Weapon/armour customization is pretty good because you can modify it with 'cards' (unfortunately right now you can't modify the perks on an item) Cons: #1. There's many bugs in the game right now, and some of them soft-lock your game so you have to restart the game. #2. The game has puzzles on many maps, which I'm not a fan of. It brings the pacing of the game way down to a crawl #3. You get pulled out of a mission after 10 seconds when it's completed, and this has resulted in me losing loot and not being able to finish breaking chests on the map multiple times #4. The game repeatedly locks you into a small area, during a battle... it's like the boss battle arenas in Borderlands 2, where you're forcibly placed in a small area with very little freedom to move, and this game does it with 80%+ of battles, and it results in the game battles feeling extremely claustrophobic and limited in freedom #5. Invaders (mini-bosses) in the game are literally unkillable as a solo player, and they kill you in less than 5seconds, so Invaders need to be hella-nerfed for solo players. #6. You can't use two (or three) of the same skills at once. I would like to play with 3 auto-turret skills at once, but the game doesn't allow you to do that. #7. The game is for sale in countries that commit crimes against humanity, like Izrael and Ruzzia. These devs are russian, but that doesn't make their responsibility to do the right thing any less important... in fact, nazis during the 1930s were praised for standing up for humanity and this is EXACTLY the same. In summation: These guys have done many mediocre games before and abandoned some of them too https://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=IO%20Games so time will tell if they do the same here. But anyway, the devs just need to fix the bugs, add more modifications to weapons/armour (maybe something like being able to add attachments to guns?) and hopefully also implement an experience system. If the devs want to find inspiration then I'd recommend that they play Cygnus Enterprises to find some inspiration (it's removed from steam but you can find it on the high seas) or The Ascent Here's my first impressions review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1ToEJzmkmM For more reviews, visit my curator page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/7851637/ For my full recommended list of games: https://steamcommunity.com/id/lfpg/recommended/

"CyberCorp" is an...mix between "The Division" and a bit of "Warframe" and...perhaps a bit of "Borderlands"? Somethling like that. So...you are an remote operator of an humanoid combat drone, working for a secret agency and trying to stop the bad guys. There are hundreds of weapons (that can be further improved with "cards" bearing different buffs), armor parts, skills and thousands of possible combos between them. Oh, and a lot of enemies trying to kill you. So enjoy the action and if you wish - bring up to 3 friends for even more chaos and explosions. Or not, if you are like me - with no friends to play with :) The game is good, and even if it's not exactly my cup of tea, i can easily recommend it. https://youtu.be/Yp28x6up1wY

You are basically a cop who operates a robot remotely to beat up punks in the flesh and some robots. The game has elements of f2p in that you get daily rewards and daily missions but the game doesn't have any microtransactions so its basically the good of f2p without the bad. You have different armor sets and different weapon sets that are more suitable for a certain type of build but drops are randomized so you may need to frankenstein your build until higher levels where you have different sets at different levels. The game has a pity system for "red" (highest tier) gear and you can also spend in game currency to force some drops. The narrative has some banter between your boss and yourself as well as enemy bosses. It's a bit like action movie dialogue and it gets the job done. There is an ingame lore reason why you can respawn during missions (you transfer to another robot body) but there isn't one why you'd be repeating the same mission for better loot. Soundwise you have cyberpunk themed music and some sound effects which don't particularly stand out. The game has co op but I haven't tried yet. Some skills and levels are more suitable for co op play.

Basically cyberpunk diablo. Worth the money. Love it!

Text and audio reads and sounds like it's either AI generated or from a source that was never checked for grammar, spelling or realism. Bugs and general gameplay issues I can totally understand and forgive from an EA title, but being lazy when it comes to what the characters say, and leaving in blatant spelling and grammar issues? Come on already. Spend less time advertising on Twitter and more time working on the quality of your game.

In short, yes the game has some bugs. Are they game breaking, no! Welcome to early access. I played through the game so far solo and have been having a blast playing. Has potential to be an awesome Twin Stick Looter Shooter. The gear is vast, the weapon variations feel good. Skills and gun play can be maximised through gear setups. Devs are very involved on their discord with determining what is causing bugs and what people would like to see in the future. Definitely Recommend.

2 Minute Video Review: https://youtu.be/sVugwCOW4X0 If you prefer a written version, here's a modified version of my script: In this cyberpunk world, the company CyberCorp has developed a new technology that allows agents to control mechs through a neurolink in order to perform dangerous missions, you’re one of these agents so it’s your job to fuck with everyone from the comfort of your own home, so you know, it’s just like any other Twitter user. The gameplay is what you would expect from a top down twin stick shooter, you have a set goal per mission and you use a variety of ranged and melee weapons as well as some skills to kill a bunch of innocent people and complete whatever goal you have. There’s plenty of different armaments to choose from like shotguns, rifles or energy based weapons, and there’s also a decent amount of skills to equip that vary greatly like a stationary turret or a healing circle. After you complete your mission and gather your sweet sweet loot, you’re of course given a score based on your flawless performance as well as some money. Now back at your home you can do a bunch of different things, you can swap your equipment taking into consideration not only the stats, but also the perks and specific buffs they have. You can sell whatever you’re not using or buy more stuff. You can even chill by your balcony or watch some TV! Of course you can also select your next mission, not only are there story missions to complete with an actual narrative, but there are also side missions with different objectives like surviving waves of enemies, defeating a mini boss or defending a specific point. And that’s Cybercorp! I really like how the game looks, the cyberpunk world is really well done and the gameplay is pretty solid, nothing that will blow you away but definitely enjoyable. The best part is that you can play with up to two friends! The worst part is probably the narrative, the story beats are not very interesting and the characters are not great, at least so far. Oh and this game is currently in early access, and you can definitely tell it needs some polishing, but even with that in mind I think there’s some good stuff here and hopefully it gets even better.

This is a looter-shooter with serious issues. Pros: + Good early game + Interesting aesthetic + Some decent mechanics Cons: - Late game bosses two shot you and the fights have a crazy amounts of adds attacking from all sides - Endgame drops off the cliff around level 45-50 - Drop rates for uniques for super grindy bulletsponge bosses are absolutely pathetic - Endgame is unrewarding in general, it's very rare to get an actual upgrade - Upgrading through credits gets insanely expensive rather fast

The game is pretty buggy. I've played it as early access then 1.0, it crashes on loading of side missions. Freezes in bossfights. Don't recommend

Fun game if you like top down more old school arcade type games, decent loot farming as well so game has replay value as well. Played a bit on steam, but also on xbox recently since its on console now, devs seem to listen and fix bugs that are reported even on console and that is kinda shocking since most dev teams just port games to console and just forget about them.

It has some bugs : Walking through walls or stairs, often ending either fall off the map or get stuck within a "building". It become a problem when playing in multiplayer with friends and you end up respawning / unstucking at the end of the map. Then because you are end the map, it prematurely end and you don't get the end loot, neither your friends, it just lame. It is not a big deal, but when random "event" like this happen multiple times in a 2 hours play is annoying

Still needs a lot of polish. Like a lot. The game starts off decent enough, but the difficulty ramps up very quickly, and it seems like the game expects you to re-run the same mission 3 to 5 times to gear up before moving on. Side quests are also significantly harder then the main missions of what unlocks. There is also some serious stability issues. Constantly falling through floors, getting stuck in walls, trouble walking up stairs, and the game keeps forgetting what difficulty it's on. My personal favorite is when one player can walk through a door and the other can't. Or even better when the game "Hiccups" and one player gets randomly teleported halfway through the level. For example, I loaded up a Lv24 difficulty mission. It went form "okay" to bullet sponge central. It was absolutely not the difficulty of a lv24 run. After grinding through the boss, I ended up getting nearly a full set of lv 32 gear. My coop partner? He got lv 26 loot. The game keeps bouncing between too easy and dying in one hit, with very little in between. Even the Unstick button doesn't work. I've "loaded" into what I believe was the floor a few times, and the unstick button just moves my position slightly, and that's it. We still have to reload a few times. Considering I'm only about 4 hours into the game, and I've had to restart maps roughly 20% of the time due to extreme glitches, that's not exactly a good ratio.

I wanted something similar to Borderlands and this has qualities of that.

A low-poly, instance-based version of The Ascent. No open world wandering here, jump in, gear up, and shoot up some robots. Rounds last about 5-10 minutes so it’s perfect for a couple of quick games. Gear seems to be pretty diverse, which is good. The normal mode you start out in is a bit bland, but once hard mode is unlocked the game spikes up quickly. Overall it’s been a great couple of hours so far.

I received the key for this game from the dev for the purpose of review. No money was exchanged. A very average twinstick shooter hiding very interesting equipment and game mechanics. The story is bland, most of the characters aren't like able and are very trope heavy. Renegade guy who likes killing, female boss who is too serious, and ne'er do well sidekick who is also a babe. English in the story has been fine but the english in the tutorial menus is a little messy at times like it was translated by google after being translated into two other languages first. The combat is incredibly basic twinstick shooter. Things that should be part of your character's kit are skills which are limited instead. For example blink is a short range teleport that should be a dodge button instead of a skill, it could be a more integral part of the mechanics putting more emphasis on dodge. Grenade should also be an equippable item instead of a skill, this would allow for suite of different grenades instead of limiting to just what the skill version does. The game features a glory kill kind of system but it's much easier and safer to blast from a distance. Your score revolves around a devil may cry sort of style gauge but doesn't require skill to raise, if you don't stop shooting and killing it will go up. Feels like it's trying to be like synthetik but hasn't made the combat more involved than move and shoot. There is an active reload mechanic but a sound doesn't play when your mag empties and the active reload bar starts immediately. So for a while you'll miss your active reloads, the devs should consider adding in a clicking or garand ping sort of noise to alert you when the mag is empty and you're about to active reload.

⭐ Recommended ✅ Played on: Steam Deck OLED CyberCorp is a fast-paced cyberpunk looter-shooter that's surprisingly fun and addictive. The combat feels super smooth, missions are short and punchy, and there's tons of loot and upgrades to chase. If you like games like Warframe or Ruiner, this is right up your alley. On the Steam Deck OLED, it runs great. Locking the FPS to 60 inside the game keeps it stable most of the time, and the visuals still look sharp even with lower settings. Battery life is around 3 hours at 60 FPS, and 4.5 hours if you cap it to 30 (though I really don’t recommend playing this one at 30 FPS - it needs the smoothness). Full controller support works perfectly with no setup needed. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a cyberpunk action game that plays great on handheld!
