For the price you're paying, for a DLC released in June 2025, you will not have access to the final piece of content until March 2026. It's pay now, buy later.
For the content that is currently released and talking from a purely single player World Tour perspective; the characters are added to the One Fateful Day section which means they don't directly add to or develop the story of World Tour.
Of that content which is currently released and again from a World Tour perspective... C.Viper's level one super doesn't even work if you're using C.Viper's fighting style. It's supposed to allow your OD moves to execute without draining the Drive Gauge even if you're using C.Viper's moves while having C.Viper's style equipped.
I personally think Capcom should focus on delivering their Pay-To-Play content and making it FUNCTIONAL before considering any sort of Pay-Per-View strategy for their tournaments. Because Capcom are a games development company and branching out of the games industry seems to have damaged the quality of this product.
The price of the character pass has been stealthily raised in actuality with the amount of drive tickets decreased from 4200 to 3000. Sure drive tickets aren't much of anything but it is very scummy practice.
With the game price lowered, price of four characters are almost 3/4 of the base game. Sure it's not that much considering how much you would pay if playing at an arcade or hours you put in, but it's for PC isn't it.
The Ultimate pass is worse. The price is lowered a bit, but you get one less stage and drive tickets are decreased from 7700 to 5800. It's virtually a price rise. Why so scummy Capcom.
Why are you sticking the middle finger up the asses of players that's been keeping the game alive? Not to forget Capcom already given a big FU to PC, Xbox, and PS players by delaying the release of Elena, which was supposed to be spring, so it will align with the release of Switch 2. Learn what and when the four seasons are. Sure, seasons kind of differ depending on the region, but it isn't something that can be changed arbitrarily depending on your needs. June is not spring goddammit.
Sure, it's your choice to invest the money you got from us where ever you like, but where the hell are Switch 2 players? What? Are they all playing Gyro Battle and Calorie Contest modes, or local matches?
Start thinking about giving back a bit or at least be satisfied with great sales instead of trying to milk players dry. It's for your own good. Build goodwill from players before the next game as you typically fuck up odd numbered Street Fighter games. It's going to be tougher than ever as you did a bang up job with SF6.
Oh, where are the new characters? We haven't had a new character since AKI, unless we count Terry and Mai as new, but they aren't truly new are they.
Capcom has to chill on the price of these. 30 more dollars is more than enough, in a fighting game, for some cosmetics and the corresponding characters. My nostalgia goggles have definitely worn off to only have access to the characters and just their costume 1 colors. SF6 is way too popular for people to pay and additional 50 bucks for costumes and colors. You've already made a shit load of money, dont be a dick. My personal take.
