Paid for the SuperStar Edition, and accidentally put in the wrong birth date so I'm listed as underage. Since that takes away any online access, the whole game is pretty much inaccessible. I talked with their support team about changing it and they gave me 2 solutions: 1. Complete the child account verification process using your correct information for adult verification. Once verified, you can manage permissions and enable the desired game modes via the Parental Permissions section in your account settings. I've had to sign into this every time I open the game, and it's an arduous process with the code not working half of the time. 2. Create a brand new platform ID and begin the setup process again, making sure to enter your correct information during the initial launch. * Keep in mind that content and VC redeemed on the original account with the incorrect information cannot be transferred to the brand new platform ID. This includes content from special editions, purchases, or Locker Codes. The second option takes away most of the reason why I bought the SuperStar edition, which was for all of the VC. Requested a Refund. I hate 2K...

Heyyyyy kids it's time for my annual, "don't be a loser like me and buy this game" review. I mean, at least I'm not the scum who buys VC - you sicko freebasers are what enables the bottom feeding drug peddlers of 2K to continue sailing into the Heart of Darkness on a ship made of junkie's credit cards. Words cannot express how despicable this company is. It's genuinely Community's Darkest Timeline of sports games - Troy and Abed in the mourning. "Coming in NBA2K27, sacrifice a family member and use their blood for a VC boost!" The game is legitimately a criminal enterprise and anyone involved in producing this satanic cult gateway gacha game must recite infinite Hail Marys else be banished to the Upsidedown. Um...the basketball is okay. If you treat it like an offline game like I do it's okay. But it's like having a bedroom in a flat full of heroin junkies where the landlord is Pablo Escobar. Shame on all of you mouthbreathers who propagate this Onlyfans sports trash. *Sighs. Time to play MYGM. And don't even bother with MYTEAM - who snuck a WNBA game in my NBA game?? What in the cross-dressing-Eddie-Izzard is this?? Imagine playing Road to the Show as a gyatt packing softball player. Diabolical.

Simple SCAM. You buy the superstar edition, you are entitled to 100k VC, I went onto creating my player (tried to do a face scan but failed, what a surprise) and spend all that VC on my build, it was late so I close the game and went to sleep. You can't picture my surprise whenever I opened the game the next day and the build I spent 100K VC on is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. Asked for a refund, purchased the game again and I'm not getting the 100k VC now. Shitty company and shitty game, nothing left to say.

Off to a great start 2K, I just bought 50 dollars worth of VC, money got taken out of my steam wallet and everything and I got no VC. Reset the game and steam 3 times just to make sure it wasn't on my end.

Games a cash grab and with no cross platform the game is already dead on launch. Cant find a theatre game to save my life, every park has the exact same people in it even when i click to change server. If you are going to get the game please get on console where theyll be a player base beyond 2 weeks. Only 2k ive owned on pc and last unless they add cross play so i can actually find games outside of the park.

UPDATE So much for "Easy Anti Cheat", just got out of a game of 3 on 3, where one player had 110 for all their stats, and their two teammates had 99 for all their stats. Uninstalling this junk and removing this game from my library. Don't waste your money buying this and putting some time into it. There's too little effort put into the single player experience by 2K to counter balance how bad the multiplayer experience is. ORIGINAL I finally decided to try to give NBA 2K a chance by buying it in release week. Previously in the past I've bought it when it goes on a big sale, usually after All-Star weekend, but by then everyone is already running around with 99 overall players. Well let me tell you, in release week, many people are still running around with 90+ overall players. They either have no life or they paid big bucks to get there as fast as possible. 2K orients so much of the MyPlayer gameplay content toward playing online in multiplayer, forcing you to go around The City to do even the most basic of things, and pressuring you to do multiplayer challenges or to buy more microtransactions the entire way. It's just so freaking lame. I want to be able to play with 60-80 overall rating players and win through fundamental good team basketball. Instead you have a bunch of players who paid their way to 90+ overall ratings who play like a bunch of circus clowns, spamming crossovers and off-balance 3s, that wouldn't be able to play defense against a grandma pushing their elderly walker down the court. It's so stupid playing with teammates with 90+ overall that allow the other team to cherry pick non-stop the entire game. It's like their actual basketball IQ is inversely proportional to their overall rating. For as long as 2K insists on focusing on multiplayer with terrible input lag, excessive microtransactions, and a lack of incentives for players to play good fundamental team basketball, I'm never buying another NBA 2K ever again.

its fun when you finally get into a rec game after 35 minutes of waiting, over 10k players but where are all they at?

Same game different year. Same hardware malfunctions on PC, they're aware around half of PC users can't play and said F it we're going live. My experience with the game: Download 94 GB. Launch Game. Give Email - Decline Opt In Compile Shaders 1. Complie Shaders 2. Crash. Update to Latest Bios, set to Defaults, Latest Graphics driver (Driver Only), Factory reset Graphics. Launch Game. Compile Shaders 1. Complie Shaders 2. Crash. GPU failed with error code 0x887a0006 GPU Name: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 0x887a0006=The GPU will not respond to more commands, most likely because of an invalid command passed by the calling application. Had hopes 2k would fix it but that's never happened before, not sure why I had hope.

NBA 2K26 feels like 2K24 with slightly improved gameplay and a smaller city. It’s decent, but not $70-decent. At best, this should be a $50 game, especially when maxing out a build can run another $100. The value just isn’t there. Overall: solid gameplay *for now*, but overpriced. Maybe try buying it when it goes on sale in a few months for those wondering if its worth it. Grade: B-

They perm banned me for doing a vc method that they put in the game. So unless you want to spend a lot of real money and spend a lot of time grinding the game to upgrade a player i recommend a different game.

Starts up game, spend half an hour downloading shaders. Start up first match, crashes before I shoot my first shot. Start up game again en start a new match. Managed to get a shot of, splash, sorry my bad I meant crash. 10/10 cant recommend at this point, fix the game before grabbing more money out of me.

Solid game-play, I enjoy it more then 25. A fun little story that will attach you to your characters growth more. Still a 2k money grab, arguably one of the most greedy games. BUT you are getting a down-vote for this and only this: Why can't I have an option to skip the half-time shows & Inside the NBA. This would be easy to implement, and it's silly at this point.

Read some reviews about how game crashes for people even with a high-end PC and I was like no way. My game runs fine for the past 2 hours without crashes and my specs are the following: AMD 7600XT 16GB VRAM Ryzen 5 5600 32GB RAM DDR4

Gameplay wise this is the best 2K in about a decade. I can't comment on online play, but offline play is really great. Teams play like their real life counterparts. Nothing about the game feels cheap or exploitable. The inconsistent shooting from last year is gone. The phantom steals are gone. You can really play defense. Can't recommend highly enough.

I have not played 2k since I think 2k18, because the games were progressively getting worse. I felt some nostalgia the other day so I decided to nab 2k26. Boy oh boy... this game is so awful. Granted I will still play it some, to continue to get that nostalgia, but it is just so disappointing. This year apparently they made the decision that any online games are gonna be green or brick on the shooting timing. This is very annoying, especially playing online with latency and lag. It feels like shear luck. If you are just slightly late or early, you have a 0 percent chance of your shot going in. On the flip side, some players who don't have jobs or school and just play this game all day, have perfected their timing so that as long as they are decently open, they will never miss a shot. This problem is much worse than just 3 point shooting however... someone at the 2K design team slammed their head on their desk, got brain damage and then decided to make it mandatory that the shot meter be put on all shots, including layups and some dunks. Again when you are online with latency, and you get a randomized layup animation which they all have different timings on when you release the ball on your layup, a casual player feels helpless to actually make a shot. The menus are tedious to navigate. It feels like no one ever said no when designing the UI, because there are so many buttons and menus to get through. MyCareer and MyTeam and both very strange in that they each have like 8 different online game-modes, and I just don't understand why. There are like 6 different forms of MyCareer online matches and they don't explain what the difference is between them. In MyCareer, anytime you miss a shot, they lower your teammate grade for "bad shot selection". Even if it was a wide-open 3 and you just missed it. The new ally-oop system gives the dunker a random button to press in order to finish the dunk. This is really stupid because I got a lob thrown to me earlier. I was pressing A to call for the ball when they decided to lob it, and the button i needed to press was Y to finish the lob. They registered my call for ball as my attempt and I missed the dunk. When playing defense there is about a 50% chance that an offensive player will just slide past you like you are made of butter and you will be charged with a "defensive breakdown". I wish I could just play 2K16 again.

Gameplay is a lot smoother. More objectives introduced into this years edition. Overall decent yearly product.

you can shoot over 5 guys with their hands up and it'll say "open" defense is impossible unless you build a pure lock, no matter what you get blown by every single possession or get your ankles snapped by the most basic dribble moves that wouldnt even fake the average planet fitness hooper, let alone NBA players the game crashes consistently with AMD graphics cards, has been this way since 2k25 but they refuse to fix the issue. the game currently is completely unplayable for me, and crashes every single time i try to enter mycareer. 7'4 bigs are completely broken and make the rec and park unplayable if you aren't also 7'4 the 100,000 vc that came with the pre order was enough for a 79 OVERALL. maxing a build apparently costs over 300,000 vc, which is over a hundred dollars for ONE build realism has been thrown out the window. go into the rec and you'll either see 6 foot point guards with 25 pass accuracy running up and down the court like they're bob cousy and somehow getting an open shot over two defenders, or a 7'4 with guard dribble packages breaking peoples ankles, not to mention the atrocious collision system which forces the ball handler to completely stop and pick up the ball if they're even within a meter of a defender i guess 2k saw all the sweaty people who have no jobs complaining about how hard it was to play, and made the game so easy to play as a scorer that a five year old can score 100 in the rec. its hard to have fun if you aren't following the exact meta builds and play exactly like pro players sure, the game looks better and preforms slightly better, but until they fix these issues, the game is essentially unplayable
