I know all of the ultimate passes have been like this, but I took a break from playing and forgot. This is an insane price for not including outfit 4 and only giving you outfit 3 for the DLC characters. As I watch society fall farther into a void of capitalist despair, I hope to find solace and comfort in video games. This is just another reminder that God has abandoned us and AAA is just another cog in the machine that will slowly bring us to a violent end.

Good grief. Only 1 stage instead of 2; Less Drive tickets compared to previous passes (content in which wasn't exactly great either compared to T8 and MK1 passes). Yet the price is almost identical. 13,53% difference in my country and I'd rather pay it for additional stage and more DTs. Typical Crapcom L. They definitely should have added costume 4 for DLC characters in this season pass. Street Fighters you know what to do. P.S. Kinda excited for Ingrid though. Especially in costume 4 *wink wink*.

CAPCOM RELEASE ALEX, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!

I didn't buy this for myself and I wouldn't. So find someone who loves you to buy you this, otherwise you are spending 20 extra dollars on content for every character in this pass and be realistic, the amount of you who are actually going to invest more than 20 hours on every one of these characters is definitely less than 5%. Otherwise sure yea, aside from the skins u can unlock for free by playing world tour (that do add up to around 4 dollars), it's 22 dollars for all the costume 3's that will roll out eventually. So you're saving 2 whole dollars for those alone! A steal if I've ever yondered upon one! There's also some more drive points, sure whatever yea, you're going to buy this because you can afford it, I hope. So for clarity, this dlc is getting a recommendation solely because the content in it has been deemed (by me of course) to be very good so far. Going back to 6 characters for a season pass would be monumental and devs listening to the community on characters people have been desperate to return would be really nice too, but as a content drop I really like Sagat and Alex, C. Viper is a Guilty Gear character, and Ingrid is likely going to be a completely reworked character akin to Ed and FANG/AKI, and this dev team has not let us down on how those characters and archetypes have been revamped. I'll edit things as things release, but so far Sagat is a lot of fun, isn't as combo heavy without using resources as usual, but you play Sagat for massive normals, great projectile game, steady and true combos with good damage, and solid resources to control the stage. I'm a bit sad they combined low shot and high shot into a single input, so now u don't have 6 versions of a fireball and instead light is the low shot, and high shot is relegated to the medium and heavy version, with EX being either based on if you do medium + light or medium + heavy. You do lose versatility on his fireballs compared to all other iterations of him I'm aware of, but you get some fun tools like a chargeable tiger uppercut to really make the most of punishes as well as more tools for combo potential with tiger raid, a 2 part special that can go into an overhead, a block pressure tool that leaves u safe on block, and higher combo potential to lead into more of the fun stuff. Overall, I do like this iteration of Sagat, even though I had my worries with his fireball game, the sheer speed of his heavy tiger shot is just absurd, and his tiger knee bypassing fireballs makes him pretty strong in a situation where you would want to predict a projectile for a free opening. Also his stage is incredible, perfect balance between visual clarity and light background movement with just enough beauty, as well as a solid new rendition of Sagat's classic stage in a new setting. The tiger also goes hard. C. Viper feels pretty cool as someone who doesn't have the dedication required to play her efficiently. She's surprisingly not as difficult as I expected (after some practice), once you figure out the timing on her cancels you're able to manage things way more efficiently, unless of course we're talking about her jump cancels in which case if you are not familiar with super jumping in anime fighters you likely will need to get over the discomfort of the mechanic as a whole with Viper. Overall she's a really fun combo fiend that is really satisfying to play even just for a measly 5 input combo. Her play style isnt for me but I can clearly recognize the thought and effort put into how these year 3 characters so far in regards to their intricacies in this new generation of Street Fighter, as well as actually balancing characters around clear weaknesses as opposed to some of the base roster at the moment of me editing this review. I'd like to hope that the new design philosophy of these characters is here to stay, but currently we are left with year 3 dlc characters being mid tier solely because Ryu, Mai, Akuma, Rashid, JP, and M. Bison are so much more incredibly powerful than everyone else that it makes balanced characters with good options seem terrible in comparison. Ingrid is realistically going to be treated like a new character to the franchise so we'll see where that goes, I'd be surprised out of my mind if she ended up being SF's first puppet character or some psychotic nonsense like that, but chances are she'll be a different flavor of zoner. And in regards to Alex, I mean honestly I only accepted this overly priced gift because I am definitely going to force myself to put hours into Sagat and an actually fun grappler that will hopefully have a more flexible gameplay loop than what we currently have. For grappler players who are mad reading that; Lily players, you're delusional after being neglected by Capcom in every patch, Manon players, you're delusional after being neglected by Capcom in every patch, Zangief players, be so real, you're either someone who won't care about any form of criticism given to you or your character, or you're going to be tired of doing the same 3 combos and mixing into raw grapples and are secretly waiting for Alex too. All the characters in this pass seem like a different kind of fun, sure it isn't your precious Makoto and Urien that you're obsessed with after watching a video essay on, but if there's anything these characters add to the roster it is some incredibly needed archetype variety to the cast. Please keep the clown emoji's rolling, I need more steam points.

As a very casual player (like, I play on Dynamic vs the CPU), Sagat is pretty fun to play as. Looking forward to Viper next! HOWEVER C(R)APCOM, IF you're gonna rip us off with ingame currency to justify the price tag, can it be AT LEAST fighter coins and not borderline useless drive tickets? thx Recommended, just the normal pass though, but I got the Ultimate one so I have to recommend this one.
