A game about bugs, where your a bug that fights other bugs. The only thing that really bugs me is how long it took for this buggy little bug of a game to finally bug its way onto my screen. 10/10 - No software bugs, just actual bugs.

Lucky enough to buy and install the game before the servers crashed...

Trying to buy this game on release day was the worst and most painful, two and half hour long edging session in my entire life... It was worth it.

What happened with the launch was dangerous and unacceptable and can NEVER be allowed to happen again. It is up to all of us to leave negative reviews on this game to send a message.

Team Cherry typed "Silksong" into the patch notes of reality and rage-quit the timeline. Since then:

• I've graduated college.
• Elon Musk renamed Twitter and then drove it into a ditch.
• The Queen died.
• COVID came and went like a Dark Souls boss fight nobody wanted.
• I changed GPUs three times.
• My nephew was born, learned to speak, and now mocks me daily.
• Skyrim was ported to a smart fridge.
• NASA found water on Mars.

6/10 mid game, combat is stale. at least it supports ultrawide... I'd rather play RDR2 tbh even after 3 hours of gameplay I still see RDR2 far better.

Not surprising to me this woke ugly baby game piece of trash is being over hyped. You know why it's not surprising to me? Just look at the mental illness epidemic we're going through in western countries. People are willing to vote liberal, for mass immigration and white replacement. People are mutilating themselves, people are confused what gender they truly are, we are a lost society, and people hyping up this generic simpleton 2D garbage is further proof we are a culture of mental illness.

0/10 hornet can't pogo properly. Also, there's an objective system?!?!? WTF!!! I definetely prefer spending 5 hours figuring out how to get out of city of tears. EDIT: Nevermind 10/10, the flying bugs can bump into each other.

Played Hollow Knight for the first time just half a year ago so the first impression for comparison is fresh in my head. Silksong is definitely impressive artistically so far, especially loving the new soundtrack. But some gameplay design decisions are questionable at best, og HK did not feel scuffed this quickly after starting the playthrough. Has the new pogo mechanic been playtested by like 1 QA using a keyboard when it comes to platforming? How was this greenlit in its current form? Also why bother showing that I have 5 HP if anything that can actually hit me does 2hp per hit. Also fuck the new healing mechanic. Why can't I consume less silk to heal less. Why 3 or nothing. And not only is the compass still not a permanent upgrade-style key item, but now it can't be equipped at the same time as other exploration charms. Devs identified a problem and made it worse instead of fixing it. Also currency loss on death+runback is fucking lame theft of time and completely artificial difficulty. No matter how many "acclaimed" games do it, it's still a dogshit time-waster mechanic. Maybe I'll change my mind as I play more, time will tell.
