-> Start the game no sound (that's not good). -> Go to steam to look for a work around. -> Game has sound. -> Play online everything seems good. Having fun. -> Game crashes every time I try to rematch someone. Tried different settings, starting as admin, etc... nothing fixed the issue. -> Dumbass me thinks he can play the game he bought the pre-order edition despite its horrible state. -> End up getting banned from online matches to "maintain quality" even though the game wasn't even crashing mid-match,but in the victory screen going through with the rematch. MFW when I payed 50€ to get banned for trying to play this dumpster fire Edit: Spoke with customer support. Bandai told me to get stuffed but that I could help them fix the crashes by sending them a crash report... but I can't replicate the issue because I'm banned. 10/10

> Start game > Play Tutorial > Complete very first step > Screen goes grey, starts flashing in different colors when pressing buttons > Press "Go back to Tutorial selection" > Game crashes > Repeat, same result > Write negative review Don't buy this until fixed, it's quite literally unplayable right now. EDIT: The recent patches have made the game playable for me. I will change my review once I have played the game enough to rate it properly.

I tested it on deck, so far so good. Really love the combat & story. Tomorrow i'll test it on PC to see if there are any issues.

It's a bit buggy, but let's be honest, it's the best bleach game we got when it does work Edit: 6 hours in, mix of story and missions; performance definitely needs improvement. 9800x3d and a 3090 and I'm just barely making 60 frames it feels like, but it's been stable otherwise. Game play is very fun and is probably the closest thing we have to a Bleach version of the Ultimate Ninja Storm games, would love to see them iron out the bugs preventing people from playing because it really is the best bleach game we've gotten, sad to see it not work for so many. It's definitely not the best game ever but it's certainly not bad either and is a great way to experience a more abridged version of the story. Characters genuinely feel different in how they play but also feels pretty balanced. Story mode is pretty much slideshow cut scenes and some animated cut scenes mixed together, with some really basic overview of the story line of the manga. Missions are short little stitched together fights against randomised enemies you have to beat without losing all of your lives. I'm enjoying my time very much and I hope everyone waiting won't have to wait too long for fixes. Just remember if you try the game out you have a 2 hour window to refund it if you have a bad time. Fuck that Tosen fight as Kenpachi though, being blind sucks ass

this game gives off chill pedophile vibes like you lowkey like kids but you went to therapy and got impulse control so you would never hurt one if you know what i mean im like that too and it makes me happy cuz it feels like i can participate on this game too. thank you so much

The game crashes a lot. It's not a good PC port and pretty much unplayable. Avoid it for now. As a long time Bleach fan, I'm very disappointed.

Bandai cannot be forgiven. They are holding content, drip feeding our parched throats of content weve already paid for in a game that was released incomplete. In the interim, the team working on this game in particular is sipping mimosas while lobbies allowing for multiple players have yet to be added. cross play has not been added. wait till they fix it

I want so badly to like this game. but even with the patch its plagued by the usual anime-game problems. someone in this team definitely cares. but its not the testing team. 52 hit soifon confirmed soifon combos? the same 4 abuse-case characters in every single match (ulqiorra, toshiro, aisen, soifon)? host-based latency issues on top of a clunky rock-paper-scissors fighting style means even on 4 out of 5 bars of ping you get fcked every game if you arent hosting because the host is allways safe to block and gets priority in every grab. so the whole game after story mode is just watching the same 4 characters sit there blocking until you do something, then repeating the same mindless optimised combo. all of this screams of a game they knew you would buy because kubo's IP is amazing, so they put in as little funding as humanly possible. this game is worse to play than the old Ultimate Ninja Storm games, and they were riddled with balance issues, but didnt play like a clunky block-grab mess. I had really hoped they would use spacing and reach as well as it looked like they might to balance the roster, but no luck. as per every anime, popular characters have speed, reach and safety and trade nothing for it, renji does less damage than soifon and is slower than komamura because he has range. kenpachi has tank frames but is slow, and nothing is safe on block, ibara isnt even a character, and has no shikai effects at all. giant evolutions are busted against the bad half of the roster and useless against the good few. the reasoning behind why some finishers do 5 and some are stuck at 3 forever? nonexistant. you picked toushiro, so you get to mash the same safe combo over and over, have huge range and speed, and still only need 2 executes to win, you picked chad? sucks to be you 3-4 executes, 5 if its aisen. even the offline stuff realises the issue. the Ai just sits there blocking until you do something, then inputs the counter until you've retried enough times to proc "idiot mode" and it just lets you win. it will NOT fight you otherwise, just twitches in front if you until you give it something to counter. just go re-watch the anime. its not worth the money until they spend more then 5 minutes patching out the literal infinite combos they released the £50 fighting game with. a game that had literally 1 job, to have a fun fighting experience, and they didn't bother to take the time going "hang on, these moves stun for longer than it takes to reset and use them again" with their own frame data. no doubt ill keep playing just because I dont want to believe they messed it up this badly, but i'll have to take breaks every 2nd game when I run into someone abusing the dog-tier balance and get absolutely clowned by what is little better than a bot and some youtube tabs refreshing to nuke the connection. Imagine getting the rights to this amazing IP, right off the back of TYBW hype, and releasing the game in this state. embarrassing and shameful.

I think it wouldn't crash as much if 90% of the graphical performance wasn't focused on rendering Rangiku's melons.

But ignoring the crash post-every fight, the game runs quite nicely, looks & sounds beautiful as expected of a Bleach game. Ignore the reviews and try it for yourself, most of these guys have PC's that can barely run Minecraft.

I've been reading bleach since 2005, and this is one of the first manga that I love, along with conan and doraemon I used to try PS and Wii emulators to be able to experience Bleach game on my Potato PC And after 20 years, I can actually play the game that I've always wanted to play I wouldn't dare call myself a fan of Bleach if I didn't support this game Thanks to Bandai Namco and TAMSOFT for creating this game, I hope we Bleach fan will have more BLEACH games in the future

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is the definition of a game that’s a mile wide and an inch deep. It starts out promising — flashy visuals, a great cast, and a combat system that looks like it has potential. But once you dig in, there’s just not much underneath. I spent 30 out of my 40 hours labbing one character, Soifon, who’s one of the most mechanically involved characters in the game. I had to create a spreadsheet to chart the damage and spiritual pressure recovery values for all of her inputs — lights, heavies, grabs, reverses, and SP moves — just to find her optimal routes. Then I moved on to the rest of the cast… and found very little combo depth in almost all of them. Outside of maybe three or four other characters, the majority rely on the exact same basic string: Light > Light > Heavy > Hakugeki > Flash Step or Light > Light > Heavy > Hakugeki > SP Move 1 or 2 There’s some extra potential using Reverse meter: Light > Light > Heavy > Reverse > Light > Light > Heavy > Hakugeki > Flash Step …but this eats your entire meter bar, and it takes a third of the match to recover it. Most of the time, you’re repeating the same short combo string with only minor differences from character to character. And while every character has a unique gimmick, those mechanics rarely translate into meaningful combo variety or expression. Worse, the core gameplay loop revolves around landing unskippable Ultimate attacks to drain lives. So on top of shallow mechanics, you’re forced to watch the same cutscenes in every match, over and over. if you came here for online like I did, prepare to be let down: -No ranked mode at all -Lobbies only support 2 players -No spectator mode -Frequent bugs and crashes on PC I didn’t touch the campaign — and never plan to. I bought this game specifically for online multiplayer and competitive play, and it simply isn’t built for that. If you’re just here for the single-player campaign and want to enjoy some flashy fights with friends every once in a while, you might still have a good time. But if you're looking for depth, competitive potential, or a reason to keep playing — this dosent have it.

There is NO audio for me. Controls are awful. This will be a game I look for on sale in maybe a year when they get rid of the bugs, but for now I just can't. I love Bleach so much, but its a no from me.

Fun game for the first few hours then you will quickly discover how repetitive and limited it is. This is also a certified garbage low efforts PC port.

The unlocked framerate option doesn't work, no matter which settings you chose the game still stay hard capped at 60fps. My 5090 and 9800X3D are both sitting at 30% and 25% utilization at 4K resolution with this game in intense fights lol, what a joke. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3452509434 I tried to enable Nvidia smooth motion but it doesn't work with this game for some reasons, so the only way to get a smoother experience will be to utilize lossless scaling which introduce massive ghosting and disgusting visual artifacts. Thanks developers for another low efforts PC port. The controls are kinda awkward and there's no real depth to the combat system IMHO. Don't expect anything very technical like a TEKKEN or Street Fighter game, you'll be disappointed. Honestly it's pretty much a button masher and you do basically the same thing all over again, no complex or insane combos to find here. At least the characters are well modelized and their animations are great, too bad the stages all looks bland and empty. BLEACH Rebirth of Souls could have been a good game but it's held back by an abysmal PC port atm and lackluster and very repetitive combat. I will probably do the story mode which is kinda like a glorified visual novel with low budget cutscenes then there is no doubts I'm gonna uninstall this game shortly after Only buy this if you are a die hard Bleach fan, otherwise save your money. At the end of the day it's sad to see it's just another attempt from Bandai Namco Entertainment to milk fanboys money with a low effort game. Bleach deserve better than this.

Rating 4/10.

Huge Anime fan and Bleach fan, however this game just isn't it. In no way is it worth its price, even if all the technical issues didn't exist. Major Issues: Game completely breaks when you alt-tab, crashes randomly online, resolution options are glitched or non existent, fps locked at 60 FPS even with "Unlimited FPS" option (smirking). Gameplay Issues: I've been playing fighting games for quite a long time and I would say that the combat in this game is similar to mobile games. Overly simplistic, rock paper scissors game play that makes Sparking Zero look like a gift from the Gods (Another 100 dollars plus wasted on that game). You have a square combo path, triangle combo path and circle is your KI blast/Signature Skill. Get used to seeing your Triangle Button combo animation over and over again, as this combo repeats itself even after a grab. Everything is an auto combo and you have almost no options to show your uniqueness, as move cancelling is virtually non-existent. Once you extend your combo, you are locked into the animation and very rarely can you cancel it into your L2+ moves. Even when you can, its just completely shallow game play that hides itself behind semi cool transformations and cut-scenes that get boring after the third match. I've bought my fair share of anime games and even if they were bad I refused to refund because I wanted to show support. HOWEVER... After the Sparking Zero nonsense, I instantly refunded this game. This is not a fighting game that has any depth or innovation. Thanks for reading.

I just couldn’t do it. There’s a lot of cleaning up to do and the game just feels clunky. There has got to be a better way of going through the bleach story line than bad 3D puppet animation and semi-unskipable scenes that are pulled directly from the anime. Like this could be a good hack and slash game of it wasn’t built on a visual novel platform . If you want a fighting game go with dragon ball or mortal combat instead unless you really want to rehash the entire bleach story line with suboptimal animation. Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly had more put together graphics than this game AND their mouths actually were in synch with the words they spoke!
