Review

Killing Floor 3 is your typical disappointing sequel from a failing company before its inevitable layoff by Embracer Group. This is a soulless, unfinished shell masquerading as a full release. Fans of the series and newcomers alike deserve to be warned: this is not a finished game, despite deceptively avoiding the “Early Access” label. In fact, it hasn’t even implemented a basic, rudimentary feature such as text chat; a feature that’s been standard in online games since the late ‘90s. Yet the most egregious failure here isn’t the missing features, the mediocre gunplay (which is especially painful following KF2’s exceptional, best-in-class gunplay), or the numerous other pitiful downgrades from the previous game (already widely documented in Youtube comparison). No, in fact it’s the utter contempt the developers show for their own community and customers, with censorship on a level that is frankly so ludicrous I can scarcely believe it. Read on if you want to hear about my experience with the developers and their moderation.

Frustrations

When someone posted a discussion asking about potential servers for the Oceania region (which happens to be my region), I replied that the game didn’t even have text chat yet. My comment was relevant and on-topic: if a basic feature like text chat isn’t implemented, it doesn’t inspire confidence that all region-specific servers would be available. My exact comment was: “They don’t even have text chat implemented yet.” No rules were broken, no warnings were given. Yet I was banned from the community hub for an entire month. The reason given? “Off-topic – temp ban due to previous warnings.” This is a clear, provable lie, and frankly a shocking attempt to gaslight me. I’ve never received a single warning on the Killing Floor 3 forums. I have my moderation history from 13 years on Steam to prove this, which I’d be more than happy to screenshot and share in the comments if you don’t believe me (assuming the developers don’t ban this review too lol). And if you think maybe it was a mistake? Nope. I contacted Tripwire multiple times, and each time they confirmed the ban was intentional, doubling down on the lies and gaslighting. That’s extremely unprofessional and distasteful behaviour from a company and not something anyone should be expected to experience. To make matters worse, on the very same thread, a developer posted an answer that suspiciously avoided answering OP’s question, and reads as an effort to mislead customers while retaining plausible deniability. Instead of simply saying whether Oceania servers existed, they said: “There was close to world wide coverage in the last stress test.” To me, that reads as “No, but I want you to think the answer is yes so you’ll still buy the game lol” which isn’t just dishonest, it borders on deception. Meanwhile, my civil, factual comment was what got censored. Got it.

Conclusion

Killing Floor 3 could have been a worthy sequel. But instead, it launches in a barebones state with core features missing, and worse: a community management approach that actively silences and harshly punishes fair, factual criticism. This is not how you build trust. This is not how you earn support. This is how you push away longtime fans. I strongly recommend staying away from this game for the foreseeable future. Right now, it’s nearly impossible to justify supporting a title that feels both unfinished and openly hostile toward its own community, especially toward those who want to see it improve.

Proof and more context

I have posted here my proof and some more context I didn't originally include in the review (to ironically avoid getting too offtopic) https://steamcommunity.com/groups/TWINOMICROTRANSACTIONS/discussions/0/371918937258389095/?ctp=2#c600784815203214865 The thing you may notice is how many other more examples there are from other people of moderator's abuse of power and draconian censorship. This makes the situation even worse and makes my recommendation even more negative; it's not just me that's affected, there's already a precedent for it so you could be next. I now strongly advise completely avoiding the community hub altogether.

Killing Floor 3: A Name Only It’s an empty shell disguised as Killing Floor. Zero atmosphere, zero satisfaction. The shooting? As soft as a water pistol. The maps? Flat, uninspired, and bland it’s hard to tell one from another. Where did the heavy, bloody horror vibe go that kept you on edge until the last Zed? Killing Floor 3 feels like a desperate attempt to appeal to fans of Apex or Warzone but they forgot one thing: this was supposed to be a sequel, not a cosplay. The game is clearly made for a casual audience, with predictable, overbalanced gameplay and none of the brutal grit that defined the earlier entries. Instead of a dark, bloody slaughter, we get a shallow shooter lacking tension and character. That said, Killing Floor 3 might appeal to people who haven’t played the previous games and just want a simple, fast-paced shooter with some modern online features. But for fans of the series and lovers of atmospheric, brutal co-op FPS games, this is one to avoid. Even during the beta and especially after the delayed launch it was clear this wasn’t what fans were hoping for. No patch or update will save this game. Killing Floor 3 simply isn’t Killing Floor.

I was looking forward to Killing Floor 3, not just for myself but also for my friends. After spending time in both the beta and latest stress tests, the game is heading in a better direction. While it still struggles to recapture what made Killing Floor 1 and 2 special, recent updates show genuine effort. I can't recommend it just yet, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

What is Good

Gore & Enemy Models: Gore is detailed and satisfying. Dismemberments feel impactful, and enemy designs are strong. Recent updates added more flinch animations and improved enemy behaviour. Visuals and Map Design: The game looks sharp. Lighting has been improved, and environments like the new Sewers map have a more gritty and atmospheric feel. Weapon Variety: A decent range with mod support. Crafting no longer requires schematics, and upgrades are now a one-click process. Zed Behaviour: Zeds now leap, flank, and chase you with better pathfinding. Their new attack patterns and reactions add more variety to each wave. Bosses use more of their abilities, which improves the fights. Mobility: Sprinting, sliding, and climbing feel snappier. Animations still need polish, but movement is more fluid than previous builds. Zed Time: Zed Time now only activates on clutch moments like headshots, parries, or near-death saves.

What Needs to Improve

Animations & Gunplay: Shooting still feels light. Weapon handling lacks weight and punch. Melee hit detection is also inconsistent. Animations for running, reloading, and aiming still look robotic. Enemy Reactions: Despite added flinch, Zeds still sponge bullets. Feedback on hits and headshots needs more visual and audio clarity. Voice Acting & Tone: Voice lines are flat and lack personality. KF1 and KF2 had memorable characters. KF3 feels dull by comparison. Performance: Although, I have not crashed. I still encounter frame drops and stuttering, particularly in multiplayer. Further optimisation is needed. Music & Atmosphere: The current soundtrack lacks intensity. KF2 had music that matched the game's pace. Some boss fights feel underwhelming because the music fades into the background. Welding System: Welding is now a limited-use item with charges, removing the on-the-fly strategy. Perk System: Specialists currently have limited access to perk trees tied to their role. While the perk system has expanded, it still feels shallow. Many of them are nothing more than flat stat buffs. Full perk freedom, like in KF2, is not available yet, but devs have confirmed it's coming in a future update. Hopefully, future Specialists (like DJ Skully) bring more gameplay variety. The Hub System: The Stronghold hub feels misplaced/underutilised. You have to walk to interact with terminals or queue for matchmaking, only to repeat the same menu steps. There are no mini-games, NPCs, just a matchmaking station with some lore terminals. Killing Floor 3 is improving, and if they continue to refine systems and polish core mechanics, it could be something worth returning to.

Im one of the 0.8% of players who hit lvl30 already at the time of writing. I have experience playing KF1, and KF2 on release and other tripwire games like Rising Storm 1&2 and Red Orchestra 1&2 1-There is no server browser and the official servers crashed 5 times wasting my time and progress. 2-There is no game length customization its always 5 waves. 3-Since multiplayer only uses official matchmaking servers and there is no server browser, there is no way to play custom maps like in KF1 or KF2. 4-Matchmaking has frozen even more times than I've crashed making me have to restart the game several times to fix the issue. 5-Your customized starting loadout doesn't take effect if you join a game in progress. 6-The weapons feel weak and when customized they become so expensive its a joke $7500+ for a fully upgraded tier 4 commando weapon without the discount and its STILL WEAK! If you sell your whole inventory it should be worth it. 7-The weapon part crafting and upgrading involves a lot of grinding, which would be normal in a free to play game which this isn't. Most of the time you cant even afford to buy it once you've upgraded until the last wave or the boss. 8- I personally don't like where they've gone with the setting, or some of the art direction, I guess in the future all guns become full of tubes and wiring and become as thick as a brick and hit like a butterfly did I mention they look ugly? Also where is the classic flare revolver that thing is cool as hell! the new pyre.357 for the firebug class is okay but its no flare revolver. 9-There is no cool factor from the old games like holding the right arm of the free world the FAL! or the M16+M203GL or the Thompson SMG, or the Mkb.42, or the AKM, or the L85, or the Stoner 63, or MG3, or Famas. The COMMANDO class feels unfinished and underwhelming, I learned the funnest way to play for me was to play the economy, bullets cost money, guns cost more and give you less, here I am using the commando class but all the rifles suck compared to the Kunai Heavy Melee attack spam that can kill fleshpounds in about 4 or 5 seconds on hard and can kill scrakes in 2. Fleshpounds have a strong cut resistance too, but kunai heavy melee attacks have a 0.5 second charge time and deal what feels like 3000 Damage Per Second yeah NOTHING is coming close to that, but damn does it feel good to use. Its a certified BOSS SLAYER for sure you can solo Impalers in a full 6 player lobby as a commando with kunai's and the PYRE.357 to one shot husks and bloats. 10-There is no ability to dual wield pistols and no Beretta M9, H&K MK23, D. Eagle, M29 revolver, the GUNSLINGER perk is gone and if it comes back I can only hope they'll do it justice. 11-There is no chainsaw, claymore, axe, or machete, the BERSERKER perk is gone. 12-There is no M79 GL, Pipe Bomb, or RPG, and the successor to the M32 which could lay down CARNAGE and DECIMATE flesh pounds is now a nearly useless tier 3 weapon against flesh pounds compared to a couple of kunai daggers. It's only use now is for weak status effects and killing clots, a real disappointment. the DEMOLITIONS perk is gone 13-my favorite perk, the SUPPORT specialist seems to have been replaced by the ENGINEER. Where is my Benelli M4 Combat Shotgun man, that thing ROCKS more than the AA-12 and where is my BOOM STICK with the recoil that sends me flying! I'm so disappointed right now, they dropped the ball so hard man, Look how they butchered my boy they turned him into a sound cloud rapper with speakers for a backpack hes got taste so bad its worse than a screaming siren. There's so many nails in the coffin already, but there is hope, they need to bring back the character and spirit of the franchise, CO-OP SURVIVAL HORROR. Every stage should have a story with good level design, the tone should be darker, the situation DIRE and pessimistic, humanity nearly destroyed. That's what brought out the charming British humor and made it all the more memorable we need good characters, we had good characters, Constable Briar is like the Leon Kennedy of killing floor. LT. Masterson-Chris Redfield, Agent Wilkes and his armor is memorable like HUNK is from Resident Evil. It was fun to read the biographies and know the crazy situations that led to those characters fighting for survival, MR. Foster isn't some military bad ass HE IS A DAY TRADER who was writing a boring autobiography. It would seem the end of the world made his book much more interesting, but there was no one left alive to care! Now hes just a clone of the original so he isn't much of a developed character is he? That's what this game is right now some disfigured clone of the original just trying to find some remnants of humanity. Just like the zeds.

They sold an Early Access game as a full release. And don't even want to fix critical bugs. But they didn't forget to add microtransactions.

This is a Killing Floor game. The negative reviews are either unsure what KF2 was like during "early access" or they are especially ignorant what KF1 was like. The monetizing is not as horrible as it was in KF2 and it's more friendly to players to jump and start killing, similar to Deep Rock or Helldivers. Killing Floor 2: KF2 had 1 boss that was a really annoying to fight during early access. And 3 maps, with 4 weapons per perk, and 6 perks. Sound a little familiar? Even then I considered it really fleshed out. It also had some really bad cheese tactics like zerker being able to just hold block the whole time and take zero damage, including from Hans. Even KF2 on release wasn't much different here, with 2 bosses, 8 perks total, and like 12 maps. KF3 is in about the same area. But what do people mean this isn't like KF2 or KF1? As if KF2 is anything like KF1, where you can sprint, have different builds with the same perk, parry with melee, zeds have more attack patterns, more bosses, more zed types, and a much easier healing system. Maybe no one here has played KF1, but that game was very different from KF2, but that doesn't mean bad. KF1 was very linear in everything you did, from leveling to the actual map layouts and zeds were also extremely dumb compared to KF2 or 3. We also didn't have mutations/holdout/etc in KF2 for awhile, even after release by like 1 year. Overall, KF3 is actually releasing with more of that kind of content than KF2 with the mutations and campaign already in the game for us. Something KF1 did not have until the near end of its era. Killing Floor has changed a lot over the 15 years I have played the series. We can sprint, slide, heal people without aiming, zipline, parry, gib, and have more fun faster, why be elitist? You weren't even there from the early days.

Gunplay is okay, and the graphics are great. Aside from that it lacks any of the arcade fun this genre is known for. This game has an identity crisis somewhere in between trying to be CoD Zombies and Killing Floor 2. Why not just let players upgrade gear naturally during game-play like the previous entries? The weapons are interesting but shallow with very few interesting qualities to tell them apart. Honestly it isn't that bad. It's just not structured like a Killing Floor game and that disinterests me.

Killing Floor 3 – When Style Replaces Soul 💀

If we try to analyze this game in isolation, ignoring its legacy, it could be considered a somewhat decent shooter. But that's the problem — this game carries the name "Killing Floor", and that comes with expectations. And it fails… hard. As a veteran who spent countless hours in KF1 during my teenage years and then moved on to enjoy KF2, this new installment was a massive disappointment — and it all started at the main menu. Yes, the menu. They added this pointless 3D interactive room where I need to move around just to access basic features. Every time I change my perk, it throws me back into that damn sleeping room. Then there's the weapons. They feel cheap, like plastic toys shooting airsoft rounds. The weapons selection is extremely limited. KF2 had some futuristic weapons, sure — but it was tolerable. In KF3, it's way over the line. The weapons look bad and feel even worse. There's no satisfying headshot, no gore that gives you that visceral thrill. Just rubber bullets. Completely uninspiring. Characters are now locked to specific perks — a baffling decision that removes one of the most flexible elements of the series. And they removed the welder, limited syringe usage, and took away key support tools like giving health to your friends without being a medic. They even removed the Stalker, one of my favorite Zeds. Collectibles on the map? Gone. Sure, most players didn't care, but they added fun for completionists — and taking them out serves no purpose. Now we have this abomination where Support and Demolition were merged into some engineer guy with two weird sound cannons strapped to his back — it's just awful. Berserker? Now it's some ninja running around with katanas and shurikens. Iconic characters that defined the series — just gone. Even Mr. Foster, while present, is ruined. His voice is nowhere near the original, and his design is embarrassing. They didn’t even bother to give his voice that classic gas mask filter — such a simple touch completely ignored. After nine years, you'd think the developers would understand what made this franchise great. But instead, they've stripped it of its soul. So many small things that were simple and functional are just gone.

The positives?

There actually are a few, and they deserve credit: -Active Abilities were introduced — each perk now has its own unique active skill. -Perk Skill Trees are much deeper now . Each perk has its own expanded tree, allowing for meaningful changes in playstyle and progression through ability upgrades. -Weapon Modification System brings solid improvement . You can now attach accessories and apply performance upgrades to weapons, which adds a welcome layer of depth. -Crafting System works surprisingly well . You need to scavenge resources during matches to create or enhance modifications. -Battle Pass is packed with content — and yes, the premium version pays for itself over time. -Movement feels smoother and more responsive than in previous titles, helping combat flow better. -Interactive Map Elements like turrets, armor depots, ammo stations, zip lines, and environmental traps add variety and strategy to each round. I'm giving a thumbs up only in hope that the developers will read this and other similar reviews and wake up. All we want is Killing Floor 1 with better graphics and smoother gameplay. The recipe for success is already there — just modernize it without ripping out its core. That said, if you judge the game on its own, it’s not terrible — you can still have a lot of fun. But it doesn’t even come close to what its predecessors delivered. My hope is that, over time, they’ll add and change a lot, bringing back the core elements that made the earlier games so beloved.

🛠️ Update:

As of the most recent developer post, Tripwire has announced that they will decouple perks from specialists, allowing any specialist to use any perk — a major point of community criticism. They're also preparing hotfixes, new weapons, and quality of life improvements based on player feedback. This shows they are paying attention. It’s a small but important step — and gives me a bit more hope moving forward. Let’s just hope they keep listening and continue bringing back the core identity that made Killing Floor great.

Bet Tripwire had seek help and guidance from Activision with these: - How to kill game franchise - How to ruin its identity - Launching game that is fking unoptimized which runs like a dog ass from 2000s games - Scam, grab cash and lie by telling people its ready for it to be launch - Enjoy pissing off people - Be lazy, greedy and don't give a damn what people say - Fire OG devs that create good games

The core game play is solid, and I like it a lot. When this game has finished its development I have no doubt it will be a great game. However, as many already said, it should have been released as early access/beta. Or, the updates should be a lot more frequent. (It's irrelevant if this is caused by slower console update/patch cycles). The only thing I really find unacceptable is the lack of a simple text chat. No server browser and walking to the damn eggbeater is annoying, but not a concern (yet). However the fixed 5 waves game lenght got stale quick. Overall, if you like KF1 & KF2, and trust Tripwire to deliver a polished game in the end, I would say have no worries. I think there is enough discussion and perspectives online to make up your own mind after playing a couple of rounds before the 2 hour Steam refund is expired.

The best part for me is this game will likely stay PvE, nobody is competing for anything. It's just up to 6 dudes chilling having a fun time. All I want is a server list, text chat, mods, and more difficulties.

I have questions (and I know the answer to most of them is "basic functionality"). Why are we only getting 70 percent of a released game and why is the road map the other 30 percent? Why isn't this early access? - kf2 released as early access and it worked out great! Why are there so few skins to buy? Why only 4 primary weapons and 1 secondary per perk? Why can't you message in game? Why is there no server browser? Why do I crash in the stronghold? Why is there no zed testing area? Why can't we jump off the zip line whenever we want to? Why must we wait for a game to end before receiving xp? - sometimes Chad Solo will try to kite clutch for 20 minutes and it's a waste of time. Why are boss fights so boring? - add a mechanic that is punishing if you fail to do it. Why is there so much weapon bloom i.e. rng weapon spread? Why does it feel like it's trying to be DOOM? Why re-imagine the franchise? - just copy paste kf2 into Unreal 5 and make another 100 million.

While admittedly fun in its own way, KF3 is 'Killing Floor' in name only.

I'm a veteran Killing Floor player with over 1,100 hours between all entries in the series and got all KF3 achievements. If you were hoping for a decent co-op shooter to play with your friends and don't mind the following changes, then by all means, you can stop here and buy it. Truly, there is fun to be had with this. However, If you were hoping for Killing Floor 1 with KF2's bells and whistles, or just a better KF2, you may be disappointed. It lacks many core elements that gave Killing Floor its identity. Instead KF3 is a trend-chasing title that feels designed by committee, borrowing from many live-service games, while forgetting what made KF a unique experience. While not necessarily negatives, lets dig into what specifically makes this feel so different, shall we? The Healing Syringe: One of KF's most identifiable and unique gameplay mechanics, the recharging healing syringe to heal yourself or a teammate is now limited to a max of 3 uses and only works on yourself. You can buy refills from the trader pod during/between waves, but Dosh is more scarce already. You can buy and deploy Med Bags for 1 or 2 more, but takes up the same slot as other items in your loadout, which is smaller since weight is gone. Before, you could use the few seconds of downtime during a wave to top off your/a teammate's health, rewarding players that paid more attention to downtime, kite enemies/dodge to heal yourself during waves or the boss all day. You were rewarded for healing others, as it would heal them much more & earn Dosh. Now players are incentivized to hoard their syringes until near death. Using them during downtime to top yourself off is a massive waste rather than a boon. If you want to heal others, you have to buy a Medic weapon or play as one. This fundamentally changes the core gameplay loop, completely shakes up the way the game is played. Who asked for this? The Welder: Gone. Pressing the 'use' button next to doors closes/locks them, requiring Zeds to destroy them as if welded. Doors cannot be repaired. You can also equip/buy optional explosive locks, but these take up the same slot as other items you'd want on your loadout. Respawning Ammo Crates and Weapons: Gone. No more respawning weapons to use/sell, ammo crates, or body armor lying around, compounding the issue of Dosh scarcity. Each map has a tiny amount of single-use lockers containing armor, but can only be opened if you equip/buy (if off-perk) the new 'Multi-Tool,' which as above takes up the same slot as other items you'd want on your loadout. You cannot manually drop weapons for others to use. Crafting: While an odd change, it is one I rather like. You can grind for materials to craft mods for your weapons to customize damage types, status effects, etc., each with a random bonus effect. Each mod can be upgraded individually. However, doing so makes them expensive at low level, unable to afford them until nearly the last wave/boss. On Hard/HoE, they are even more difficult to afford. You can carry 2 primaries, but buying two fully modded/upgraded is rare. This compounds the Dosh/Healing Syringe issue since having to buy Syringes, bags, or a Medic Pistol also drains your little Dosh, moreso if it is modded/upgraded. Perks: Specific characters are locked to specific perks. Sure, they promised to fix it down the road after significant backlash, but who thought this was a good idea to begin with? And to launch the game without this? The management at Tripwire clearly had no intention of making anything resembling Killing Floor from the start until fans forced them to. How is this not listed as Early Access? Zeds: Stalkers? Gone. The formerly black Crawlers are now the same fleshy grey as most of the Zeds, harder to make out different types of them in a crowd. When in a full lobby, its hard to see anything with the various effects going on. Where's the victory screen post-boss fight where I can throw grenades/dosh at my teammates? Trend-Chasing: Characters locked to Perks with abilities on cooldown like a Hero Shooter. Ziplines. Apex Legends style sliding. Vaulting and bleedouts like CoD Zombies. It has a hub/Battle Pass ripped straight from Helldivers 2. A crafting system for weapon mods. Upgrading your armor between waves or weapon mods uses the same rarity scale found in MMOs (White > Green > Blue > Purple). Zeds have been redesigned like they came from Doom 2016 with Glory Kills. Again, not necessarily negatives. Merely noting KF3 chasing industry trends and a departure from KF 1&2. Audio: Most of the music is actually pretty good, a few callbacks to KF1 tracks. The audio mixing is a complete mess though. It's difficult to make out the audio cues for when Crawlers, Scrakes, or Fleshpounds are coming. Character dialogue is full of cringey one-liners that make me miss KF2's banter-at least those had charm. It has moved even farther away from the peak British goofiness we loved from KF1. In fact, there's barely anything British left in the game. The Firebug has the worst lines by far. Awful, corporate safe edgy writing. Server Browser: Gone. No longer can you browse a server list & join. Instead, you have to enter the hub, walk to a kiosk > select difficulty/map > walk to a VTOL waiting for you. Then after a delay you get a loading screen and it just drops you into whatever it can find, regardless of what wave the server is on. Text Chat: Gone. But the Cash Shop & Battle Pass are up and running for launch. Steam Workshop: No mod support. But anti-cheat is enabled, so corporate at Tripwire can ensure people can't wriggle their way out of paying extra for skins, attachments, etc. in the cash shop. KF 1 & 2 had a healthy modding community with hundreds of maps that extended the life of the game. Game Length: Only 5 waves + Boss Wave. The Medium (7) and Long (10) wave game lengths are absent at launch. The game feels like it was rushed out the door. -------- [b]Now onto the negatives: Monetization: Three editions ($40-$80) of the game, Season Pass, Battle Pass, plus a separate Cash Shop requiring premium currency that you have to (mostly) buy. The amount of premium currency given from the Battle Pass even after 25 hours of gameplay isn't enough to get a single skin if you bought only the base game. Bugs: Multiple crashes or game freezing when trying to craft or upgrade weapon mods. Matchmaking freezes ~15% of the time, requiring I go back to title screen > enter Hub > terminal > VTOL again. Switching to secondary mode on melee weapons often will not 'reload' it, requiring me to switch modes 3/4 times. Bosses teleporting around when around certain terrain, glitching through platforms or the floor sometimes when jumping. Husks often teleport around when grappled, rubber banding to their original location unharmed afterwards, wasting your grappling hook. Performance: Unoptimized. No issues running KF2 at max settings, 1440p@60 FPS. KF3 runs at 25FPS at best with everything down to low. Set my resolution <1080p to get decent framerates. All of this, yet somehow it isn't listed as 'Early Access.' This game is a perfect example of why chasing trends kills identity. This is a soulless husk of a game wearing the Killing Floor IP as a skin suit and has been monetized to hell by TWI corporate. While I think it is fun, this isn't Killing Floor, but a live-service Frankenstein. If TWI addressed my issues with the Healing Syringe, spawning weapons/ammo/armor, and the Dosh economy, I would overlook many of the changes mentioned here.

as someone who worked on live service games myself, I can confidently say that KF3 is what happens when management decides to prioritize monetization over gameplay in their live service game. I played just an hour and is more than enough to see how rushed out the game is compared to the first KF2 release: subpar gunplay, generic art direction, lack of guns and classes that were basic in the previous titles, buggy as hell, very visible perfomance issues. yet all the monetization elements are there. I'm sorry for the actual developers, I know how tough is to try to create something under unrealistic deadlines and greedy executives, but as of right now I can't recommend KF3 to anyone.

There are 2 reviews for this game and they are both correct currently: Review 1) This is not KF2, and thus it sucks! Review 2) This is not KF2, but I like the changes and updates and will play more. So, my personal review is KF3 is not KF2. KF2 good. KF3 good. Mutually exclusive statements that are my honest opinions. Thumbs up!

Knowing Tripwire from KF2, we can expect many game improvements over time. The base is fun already. I feel people are dooming too hard.

Still needs a lot of work done to feel even remotely close to Killing Floor. Has the aesthetic but nothing else that made it super fun. The optimization is still bad as well. 5/10

If you are a fan of KF1 or KF2, don't buy this game, you will be very disappointed. I waited years for this game, just to be let down by this company trying to copy other games and combine them all into this game where it has become nothing that the old games even came close to being . Stick to the older games, don't buy this even when its on sale, save your dosh.

The core of the game is solid, and very much in line with KF1 and 2. I'm actually confused this game has such a low review score. If you want a re-skin of KF2, This isn't it. If you want the next Killing Floor game, you got it.
