This game said it was free to play… they lied. It costs friendships. You think you’re just dropping in with your boys? Nah. You’re dropping into emotional bankruptcy. One second you’re all laughing, the next second Chad ‘accidentally’ forgets to cover your flank and your million-dollar kit is gone. Now you’re broke AND you hate Chad.
This isn’t a shooter, it’s a social experiment. Arena Breakout Infinite doesn’t just test your aim, it tests your ability to forgive betrayal, cope with poverty, and resist the urge to uninstall Discord. GG devs, you made the first truly pay-to-friendship game.

I would like to start this off by saying this is not a doomer review or a hate review. i genuinely love this game and hope the devs revert/change a lot of their recent decisions with the game. Unfortunately, the reason this game has had very positive reviews on Steam already is probably because a lot of the people who WOULD post a negative review have been playing the game on the launcher for over a year now and don't want to download the game again just to write a review or have quit already.
I'm an extraction game veteran and have been playing extraction shooters for many years now. As a refugee of Tarkov, I was ecstatic when i found ABI because it was everything i hoped Tarkov would be! The cheaters I reported were banned, and plenty of quality-of-life improvements that i never even thought to add made getting into raids quick, easy, and effective. The servers were and are far more stable than Tarkov, and everything felt just casual enough that a below-average to average player could potentially kill some of the sweatiest players in the game, even with very cheap kits!
But sadly, with every update, these pros became less and less prevalent until finally some of them barely existed anymore. The fire rate of weapons was nerfed into the ground, as well as range and ammo penetration/damage. These changes began to limit the amount of viable weapons in the game for PVP. Expensive weapons stayed expensive while being a horrible choice for PVP compared to other weapons that were the same price or, in some cases, even cheaper. The economy was artificially inflated by the developers because the game does not wipe, meaning a lot of expensive items went up in value and made a huge gap between the already rich veterans and the noobs that are just now starting.
The moment i started to lose faith in the balance of the game was when i headshot someone without a helmet with an FAL using T4 ammo and they didn't die... because the "effective range" stat on weapons limits the maximum damage of the bullet to anywhere within the effective range. So when someone is outside of your weapon's effective range, even by 1 meter, your bullets will do a flat -30% damage. So people can tank even more than 1 headshot in some cases. In an effort to make a casual extraction shooter even more casual, they ended up making it more and more difficult for a casual player to win against anyone who is good at the game or has more money than them.
Let's move on to the last bit of this plea for help. The Cyberpunk 2077 collab introduced special in-raid lootable injectors that would disappear from your inventory if you extracted, so you could only find and use them in-raid. This introduced Fortnite-levels of unbalanced medical stims that could fully restore all your broken limbs while healing you, or a self-revive that would put you in a downed state when taking lethal damage (even headshots would sometimes just down you). This was incredibly frustrating to play against because, at times, you'd have to win the same fights over and over just because they found something in the raid that let them survive. This also made it confusing to decipher if you were fighting a team or a solo because of the self-revives' downed state.
Many others and I expressed our dislike of these items in the Discord, but in the end, it was all from a promotional event, so they would go away after the event ended. But now, in S3, you can craft self-revives as well as injectors that lower the spread of limb damage. So, if someone is wearing full T6 armor, their ONE weak spot (limbs) has been strengthened? allowing people to survive so much longer in a fight, Is starting to be the opposite of casual because now the sweats can never die if they don't allow it.
TLDR: Devs made the game OVERLY casual to the point where it favors the sweats and the rich. Its lost its identity and has begun ripping pages out of the wrong games' books instead of being its perfect, unique self.
Please devs, read this. From a sweaty, rich veteran.

I cannot recommend this to solo players. Its amazing if youve got a squad. But you get destroyed by teams constantly as a solo player, since they can just revive eachother. Until this make a proper matchmaking system, I cannot recommend this

the game is pretty fun, but flooded with people that will just bring in a sniper with as high tier ammo as they can, so they can get that one tap and wear no other gear. its annoying to die too and it's not rewarding to kill them because the gear they have is cheap and the rest of their expensive ammo is inside their butt. so it kinda kills the raids or at least for me it did.
the game is super easy to pickup and aiming and shooting feels good almost too good it's incredibly easy to get headshots with how snappy the aiming feels but again this contributes to the no gear sniper problem.
armor is strong in this game wearing good armor is noticeable and i like that but might be a little to strong an example is t5 armor will get defeated by t5 ammo as it should but when it comes to t4 ammo vs t5 armor i feel like it takes a little bit too long to get through even though it's one tier below it.
party play vs solo this game 10000000% should have a mode that is solo only that you dont have to be max lvl to unlock when i want to play solo as i am not max lvl i have a hard time fighting teams as they can see team-names they get a revive mechanic and obviously their are more of them. i would just like to play solos.
the reason for the negative review is i feel like this game has no substance it has allot of guns armor and menus and battle passes with skins and special events but for some reason when i play it i just don't feel any weight to it nothing matters in this game because things are given away so freely i never feel like i had to earn the millions i have, the game just said here have at it, i tried to mix it up and use different guns with different ammo but was punished to the point where i just was not having fun anymore and using the few things that did work over and over got repetitive. i hope if you play the game you enjoy it and i will give it some more time and see if my review changes once i get to max lvl and can try out all the content.

the worst part the kernal level anit cheat ACE causes pc crashes often even blue screens
The game still installs root kit anit cheat and it runs on ur comptuer all the time what kind of joke is this? kernel-level-anti-cheat this is unaceptable. Its a mobile knock off of escape from tarkov. That has even less content and less to do. They left pay to win thermals in the game and have almost now way to keep new players away from the try hards than been playing for over year.

Incredible game. All the fun of Tarkov without the BS (from in-game cheaters to IRL $$$ BS - I don't need to elaborate if you're a Tarkov player).
In addition to removing the BS, they've added a TON of Quality-of-Life improvements that make inventory management and general gameplay way more intuitive and easy to jump into.
I'm a completely F2P player and none of the monetization has interfered with my ability to enjoy all elements of this game. If anything it's one of the most generous F2P games I've played. 9/10

This game is fine, but its not good.
It faces a cheating problem from my experience still. Not as bad as what it used to, but i've been tracked through walls and aimbotted a few times still. Community is genuinely braindead as if you ever make any mention of people cheating, theyll begin to throw insults at you + justify cheaters and protect them?
These are most likely the sweats youll encounter who have guns that seemingly carry the recoil past your body but still shoot you in the face too.
If we ignore the cheating/sweat problem and look at the game, its fun, however its insane mobile game like menus with 80% of them a lure to spend money on micro transactions for skins is disheartening,
Gameplay is good, movement and weapons do feel nice, and the addition of seeing how you died and a kill cam is a good touch for helping you realise where you went wrong, or find if they were just tracking you before hand.
TLDR: Fine time waster, chinese mobile game feeling, Still better then Tarkov
Edit: to everyone proving my exact point on the community being negative, keep in mind what I have experienced is not what you have experienced, I have watched kill cams, no matter how inaccuate, does in fact show people have tracked my x-ray through the enviroment.

Playing recently on their platform. It's like an easier tarkov that respects your time. Yes it has some flaws, but there aren't spells like in Delta Force, and it doesn't require level 42 (100 or more quests) to get all the gear like in tarkov.

To describe this game simply, I’d call it more casual Tarkov, which is not a bad thing at all considering how bullshit Tarkov is at times. There’s still risk and reward but the much more forgiving nature of ABI means you’re much more willing to fight and try out goofy strategies versus the butthole clenching experience that Tarkov is.
Incredible amount of fun to be had for a free to play game.
Even the gunsmith section is retained and is far more approachable and enjoyable. I don’t see myself ever going back to Tarkov after this game, and if that makes me a dirty casual, that’s a title I wear with pride.

Trash P2W game, which somehow manages to be even worse than Escape From Tarkov, offering dull and generic loot that relies solely on the Koen value of items. The accessibility to high-level gear right after starting, seemingly designed to encourage spending money, detracts from the core of an extraction shooter. In contrast, I find Active Matter to be a far superior experience, maintaining the spirit of the genre without compromising gameplay quality for monetary incentives.

General conclusion on if its worth playing = "No"
Don't get me wrong, the game has good qualities about it. and if you seriously consider approaching it in a casual manner you might have fun here and there. But the people shilling for this game are not representing you or your interests in an honorable way. I've played on and off, on the game for the past 5 days with a buddy. mostly duo'ing together but we are starting to notice repeat patterns of problems arising in situations we know we should be able to handle.Problem 1:
Gear value Restrictions are a false sense of security, Normal mode maps for farm & valley are supposed to help ease new players into the game, But sadley the game cant even do that with farm being frequently “Farmed” by players rocking lvl 5 armour & helmet and gear that exceeds the threshold and with yellow ammo. And you must be thinking how is that possible. Well timmy, its been a thing since the games release, Yup thats right you can bypass gear value restrictions on maps simply by disassembling your NON-CORE weapon attachments and face visor and putting it into your backpack or chest rig depending if its big enough. Hell you can also slot in your backpack into you chestrig if you have enough space, all while none of that accounts into your gear value. weapon attachments on your weapon represents your gear value but if you take them off and put them in your chestrig or backpack it doesn't. meaning you brought in a 100k weapon that is statically 400k+ with mods but the game does not view it as that So if you're getting beamed by people with scar;s, F2000’s etc etc all with gold ammo. And you think the person is unrealistically tanky, well now you know. Gear value means absolute squat and its not been fixed since release nor 3 seasons later.Problem 2:
Server tick rate is abysmally crap. No in depth explanation on this.. Its as described. Hit reg responsiveness, desync of AI and players no matter the distance. Jiggle peaks and bait peaks are king. These are the core problems that i think are plaguing the game right now. There are some minor gripes, mostly surrounding the games gun usage after which after diving into forbidden zone is mostly just the same 3 or 4 guns on repeat. They have done hardcore nerfing of recoil, penetration power, accuracy and stability to soo many guns that its just made them non viable to use!12 votes funny

This otherwise fantastic game is made abysmal by the matchmaking system. This wouldn't be relevant in a game that didn't have the penalty of losing all your gear. I don't care how it changes the queue times. If I queue looking for a team I shouldnt be dropped solo against squads of 4 with no way to back out and try to find teammates again.

Really.... thousand upon thousand of hour in development and couldn't spend maybe 10-50 hours to add controller support... not everyone likes being bent over a desk.

Fun game. Plays a lot like Tarkov except it doesn't feel like a second job and it's actually enjoyable.

I cannot recommend this to solo players. Its amazing if youve got a squad. But you get destroyed by teams constantly as a solo player, since they can just revive eachother. Until this make a proper matchmaking system, I cannot recommend this

Players said remove P2W – you did it.
Players said remove red ammo – you did it.
Players said crack down on rats – you did it.
Now I’m saying: bring out Zombie Mode.

the game is pretty fun, but flooded with people that will just bring in a sniper with as high tier ammo as they can, so they can get that one tap and wear no other gear. its annoying to die too and it's not rewarding to kill them because the gear they have is cheap and the rest of their expensive ammo is inside their butt. so it kinda kills the raids or at least for me it did.
the game is super easy to pickup and aiming and shooting feels good almost too good it's incredibly easy to get headshots with how snappy the aiming feels but again this contributes to the no gear sniper problem.
armor is strong in this game wearing good armor is noticeable and i like that but might be a little to strong an example is t5 armor will get defeated by t5 ammo as it should but when it comes to t4 ammo vs t5 armor i feel like it takes a little bit too long to get through even though it's one tier below it.
party play vs solo this game 10000000% should have a mode that is solo only that you dont have to be max lvl to unlock when i want to play solo as i am not max lvl i have a hard time fighting teams as they can see team-names they get a revive mechanic and obviously their are more of them. i would just like to play solos.
the reason for the negative review is i feel like this game has no substance it has allot of guns armor and menus and battle passes with skins and special events but for some reason when i play it i just don't feel any weight to it nothing matters in this game because things are given away so freely i never feel like i had to earn the millions i have, the game just said here have at it, i tried to mix it up and use different guns with different ammo but was punished to the point where i just was not having fun anymore and using the few things that did work over and over got repetitive. i hope if you play the game you enjoy it and i will give it some more time and see if my review changes once i get to max lvl and can try out all the content.

This introduced Fortnite-levels of unbalanced medical stims that could fully restore all your broken limbs while healing you, or a self-revive that would put you in a downed state when taking lethal damage (even headshots would sometimes just down you). the worst part the kernal level anit cheat ACE causes pc crashes often even blue screens

Like unemployed and employed game modes ffs. Even normal is a sweat fest. U got a great game but its just unenjoyable with the prices and the grinding just to get killed and losing progress for nothing, over and over. People have jobs

There are far too many bots in the game, which isn't to my thing, so I've uninstalled it and tried out Active Matter because of excessive ads. While the game isn't completely free of bots, it has significantly fewer compared to this one.
