Sometimes there is a game that combines clean pleasing visual experience, a brilliant audio composition, and a great way to talk about my special balls all in one package.
The music goes balls deep and draws you in.
The different ball handlers all have their special talent of manipulating your balls in a way that feels different and yet really good at the same time.
You can even build a town that is dedicated to making your handlers do their ball handling better.
The combat can really break your balls and need some strategy for how to keep your balls from being impotent. You can even combine balls, to make the biggest balls of them all!
Who knew my balls had so much potential!
I really fell in love with this game! I recommend playing with headphones, sit back, crank the volume up and immerse yourself into this wonderful world this is dedicated to making your balls be the best they can be!
PS: I love the soundtrack; It is the rug that really ties the room together.

This is the year of the indie masterpieces. I just went from Silk Song to Hades 2 to Ball Pit and all of them are freaking masterpieces. Ball Pit is addicting as hell and you can tell it was made by people who knew what to do with every aspect of this game. Pure master craft with excellent balance and spot on controls and game play. Great music and graphics all culminating in absolute fun. So fun. Every friend I tell about this game is hooked moments later. Another game of the year for those that judge a game by entertainment above all else.

Honestly it's fun enough, but even on max speed it's painfully slow doing multiple runs, got a couple clears and unlocked the 2nd area and was dissapointed to discover the music was the same and only the cosmetic visual stuff was different (Alongside some slippy parts of the floor).
Been hearing a ton of hype around this and thought it looked amazing, but after like an hour, kinda had my fill.
The worldbuilding outside the main game, to do upgrades feels basic and obtuse for the sake of it (Gotta design a maze of materials and aim your characters to bounce around like they're balls breaking bricks only you set the course and watch a timer count down basically).
As sad as it is to say, it feels like this should've been an early access game and like it's missing a lot of ideas, feels like amazing basics and foundations have been laid, but not much else.
Like seen maybe 15 ball types and after a very quick while they all feel so samey, mainly cause you evolve and fuse balls all the time so then it just feels like you have ha,lf of what you enjoy using.
Love these sorts of games and will keep an eye cause it could be amazing with just a bit more depth, mainly music, right away music should at least change between stages, like this is sooooo a shut the games music off and put your own on kinda game right now, which is fine, but like the music we get is good, so it's a shame stage 2 sounded exactly like stage 1 despite a totally different vibe.
Launching in the wake of MegaBonk won't help, but if MegaBonk is survivors X Risk Of Rain, this is Arkanoid X Loop Hero, only Loop Hero is automated and lets you seriously up the speed.

I wonder how much they spend advertizing this game.
wtf is this scalling ? first run went ok and I managed to beat it easily, but 99% of the runs are unbeatable, spawning endless rows of enemies that I can beat even fully upgraded, with 4 ball fused.
also you can remove the upgrades since they are completely useless, the longer the game the game goes the weaker you get, unlike every single roguelite.

if you find forced losses and meta progression fun, you might like this. i hate it.
the formula is:
- you get put in a roguelike battle
- you lose, regardless of any level of skill or decision making
- you do some meta progression, in this case with a boring town management mini game
- you enter another battle
- you lose again
- you do more meta progression
you can literally AFK during the battles in games like this - the gameplay doesn't matter AT ALL, all that matters is meta progression
contrast this with Slay the Spire - you can jump into your first game ever and complete a run. It's based on skill, decisions, and a bit of luck. That's how to do roguelikes

Should've noticed it's published by Devolver before I purchased it.
Like so many Devolver games, it's extremely shallow, a lot of flash and basically zero substance.
The "base building" aspect of this game might be the quintessential example of this.

Power fusion got me interested, but it ended up being pointless. It is not like Vampire survivors where the fusion really is gamechanging. Here you got the fusion and now the ball is red istead of white. Okay, that's kinda meaningless.
Nice for them to attempt to do the fusion thing, since none of those in this genre tried to yet. Game feels straight up boring.
Also, for the small games like this soundtrack should be really punchy that's you can enjoy for the entirety of the level, the one they got is just annoying.

I read a lot of the negative reviews, and positive. The positive are all short bouts of praise with almost no hours played, a lot of the neg. reviews are critical reviews examining the core mechanics of the game with a lot of hours played. Unsure if the developer paid people off or whats going on with that. But roughly 2 hours into the game I see the signs of what the negative reviews complained of, the biggest being that no build feels like it has an identity. At the end of the day it all feels very samey and almost like an idler with health checks. Unfortunately I will be refunding this.

Now this is an amazing little game with an incredibly addicting gameplay loop.
You build and upgrade your city so that you can dive deeper into the abyss, and the deeper you go, the more you can upgrade your city. The loop feeds into itself perfectly, and it’s good, addictive, even.
The gameplay feels like one of those dopamine squeezing reels you find on TikTok while doomscrolling that just scratch that itch in your brain, but here you actually have control and pick your own playstyle with different balls/characters that have unique effects.
The music slaps, the art goes hard, and there’s around 15–20 hours of content (30+ if you’re going for 100%). But honestly, you can keep replaying it thanks to the huge number of combos to experiment with.
Buy it immediately. I already yearn for a sequel, pls Kenny.

Completely baffled how this has 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews. I found it very boring, slow, and the boss has an obnoxious amount of HP for how little damage you output. The boss isn't hard, it just takes forever to kill, and that's boring.
The game play loop just isn't fun.

Get the DEMO, it's free, your save will transfer. LOADS of content, you can easily dump 10+ hours into this game and keep coming back for more. Very addicting gameplay loop, constant upgrades, great weapon evolutions, loads of characters with unique mechanics, a unique base building/farm style system to build up in-between rounds, it's simply a GREAT game. *Side Note: my hours played do not match reality.
