Bought it just because the developer set a whole country's arses aflame. But the game itself, beign playable and sometimes even enjoyable, still lack a bit of QoL features.
Firs of all it's very slow. Like you click move and go take a coffee, hoping char wont stuck in bushes. There are fast travel-ish, but in order to use one you still have to move to a post, and it takes another coffee.
Secondly, no loot storage or something. You can loot a lot but guess what, you will move even slower. Tecnically you can store it somewhere in boxes in the world, but for me this is not convenient approach. You might call this "inventory management" but i call it "boring stuff".
I will definitely give it another shot after EA, but for now it's more job than joy.

This is a medieval rpg without magic but also with very very few weapon skills or interesting builds. I'm a magic loving rpg player so this game is a no for me. I accidentally bought it thinking it had magic. This is like Fallout w/o tech. This is like their other game if you get rid of everything but melee fighting and mild cyoa elements. If you liked those, this will be like a mini-adventure to Atom's other stuff; at least so far.

I think the game is quite solid overall. My only comment is that the key art doesn’t seem to match the gameplay very closely (or maybe I haven't reached the the part yet? ). After playing around 20 hours, I’ve only had a couple of encounters with the creature featured in the key art. As a fan of Atom Team games, I had an idea of what to expect, but for someone new, it might be difficult to understand what the game is about just from the key art.

This is as basic an RPG as they come with all the hallmarks of a bad one.
Copy and pasted skill trees.
Time wasting, empty, over sized maps.
No indication on what NPC's have quests.
Basic combat.
Bad writing combined with outdated prose.
Maybe it will get better in time but right now it's a hard pass.

I gave this game a fair shake, but I can't deal with constant freeze and crashing at random intervals.
Swordhaven is mediocre, at best. Graphic and sound-wise, it's serviceable, but the story and gameplay is aggressively mediocre. It's either barely on par or several steps backward from its predecessors in the genre and does little to separate itself or do something different. I'm not going to talk about the small gameplay elements that I've found annoying since early access, because I can't be bothered to care at this point.
In a perfect world, I would have finished this title and likely not left a review. But, after dealing with the constant crashing and freezing at random intervals, I'm going to vent and move on.
If you're a fan of Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity, buy it and try it out for yourself.

Too difficult! Progression is too slow, leveling up takes forever and does not really provide much (if any) benefit. You grind grind grind and earn 10 gold only to have to spend that to rest in order to heal. This just isn't fun and worse it's not interesting enough to stick with it in order to ever so slowly grind up only to get one shotted while traveling...

Surprisingly good game. Their previous 2 games - fallout in russia was not bad, but not too big and quite boring. Also let's be honest, their fallout russia is not different from just regular modern russia. Going for classic mediaval slightly magic world made is so much better, especially in terms of way to roleplay and solve quests. I was able to play as intellect + attention + personality at max and the rest at 0 which is really rare even in big "AAA" RPGs. And what is more important - all those stories are interconnected and make sense in-universe unlike for example BG3. So if you are waiting for Solasta 2 and WH40k: Dark Heresy like myself, it is good game to pick and play in the mean time. The only real con is graphics which is somewhere at the level of DOS, NWN and the like, but it doesn't really stop us from replaying those games, right?

its... ok. still Early Access so needs "tuning". Ammo is scarce and you miss... like a lot. excessively so. so thats bad.
crafting is awful. Fail?. lose not just mats, but the tool you need for all similar crafts. which are not cheap.. oh wait, you have no money, so you're screwed. you HAVE to provide something for the beginner. half decent weapon, availiability of ammo, some basic armour.. but no. i REALLY want to support this team, they are such dedicated and talented people... but throw us a bone!.
maybe its me, i just suck at these games, but lifes enough of a struggle without games rubbing failure in our face.
oh, and tools like shears, lockpicks, hammers etc.. DO NOT HAVE ONE USE ONLY!. learn from this and integrate a little reality into the game!.

Not right now. I love atom team and their atom rpg. But this....there is barely any content. Maybe 8 hours worth currently. Not worth early access. I was shocked how little content there was. You pretty much have to make a lockpicking/persuasion build as several of the quests involve using speech and will make your life easier. Tons of locked boxes.
Hit chances are Xenonaughts level of lunacy. Pretty decent weapon skills at level 1, like 50 or so, and yet I still have a 29% chance to hit most mobs. Makes combat, especially turn based, a bit of chore to sit through.
Leveling is the slowest I've seen in a CRPG. After nearly 8 hours i'm only lvl 3. This means that a high intellect stat will be paramount for the extra skill points, as skill points are the major factor in completing the game.
Several bugs that will literally cease quest giver npc's from speaking further dialogue. It will just freeze, causing you to have to cntl alt delete out to close the game and restart. This happens on a few quests.
Just not right now.

As an ATOM RPG fan I was looking forward to this one but sadly it's lacking that sense of progression that kept me hooked in ATOM RPG. The levels are slow, perks are missing completely meaning you level through skill points alone, so far in the early access there is a serious lack of decent equipment for most weapon types (as far as I can tell the knife is the only one with an actually good weapon). I played for about 7 hours and I was still level 4, using a weapon that was barely better than what I started with. I know it's still early access and I'll be keeping an eye on it as it develops, but at this point the grind feels too unrewarding.
Combat reward XP could use a boost too, it feels weird that you'd get more XP from gossiping with a random villager than from killing a wolf pack.
Edit: I don't consider active abilities to be perks, that's not what I'm talking about.

It's just a good old school turn based RPG but with many interesting features and modern quality of life. It's kind of like a Gothic Atom Rpg if you want a very short description.
I played the demo and now i recorded the first episode of my lets play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rulNYTC0nfU
The game has all the complexity of character creation and progression like in ATOM Rpg but the setting is in a medieval low fantasy setting. There are magical and weird enemies but not too exagerated, magic is in the form of artefacts or enchantments. You are not a wizard but a specialised adventurer, sort of speaking.
I wouldn't call it's a CRPG because it's a lot more fun than that with a lot more choices like making a Solo build or a party based build. Using speech skills, crafting, lockpicking, pickpocketing or other skills to progress in the story.
PROS: complex, specialised, nice setting, cool mechanics. Everything you would expect from a good rpg, the team used all their skills learned during the making of the 2 ATOM RPG games. Fun to explore the big maps, you can even fast travel between certain points(sign pots). Quests are everywhere and you can really improvise while solving some of them.
Game was kickstarted so it will feature a lot of cool content and many nice things acording to the roadmap.
CONS: Sadly this is version 0,3 so the game has a long way to go until it's ready, the devs said they need 12 months to finish the game but i am sure the game will recive more content over 2-3 years after being finished.
One of my biggest complaints is how the game looks, it's very fuzzy sort of speaking, if you look at how amazing and crispy Trudograd looks and how beautiful the light and weather is... you will be dissapointed at the 2010-ish graphics the game now has. They are probably waiting for higher textures from their team.
The UI has a few problems as well, some items don't have their final icons, the game is not really balanced.
The game has only 1 Difficulty now, Normal and the other 2 difficulties(easy and hard) will come soon.
Final note: the game is worth the asking price for sure, the game will be great next year so if you are a fan of ATOM RPG jump right in. For newer players it will be overwhelming and hard to learn but probably they will feel dissapoint on how hard it is to learn it and then find how many missing stuff there is.
Another problem for newer player is that the game features a ton of reading, text and even the tutorial is just text. Don't be discouraged, you need to mostly read everything the first time.
I would say wait for the next BIG update to jump into the game and ignore some of the ugly textures and graphics for now.
Another BIG problem is that the game mostly features English language now so if you expect eastern or western european languages you will have to wait. I guess the devs are a bit stubborn because of some situations in Europe right now so many people will be dissapointed. I showed the curent languages in my video

Early Impressions: Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy nails the classic CRPG vibe right out of the gate. The writing is sharp, the combat is fun and the music is charming. It feels deliberately paced and confident in its identity. No hand-holding, just solid role-playing. Very promising so far. I'm excited to see where this goes yet I want to savor the experience. A diamond in the rough crpg !!!
The world building is great, the dialogue choices are plenty and it has the feel of old school crpg`s
Love the setting in this mostly (as far as we know) low fantasy world. The game features both turn based and real time with pause combat. there`s alchemy crafting and pretty much what you would expect out of a game like this.
If old school crpgs are your thing, if u love lore and world building, this is the game for you!

Needs more time to bake. It reminds me of CRPGs made by Spiderweb Software, so if you're a fan of games like Avernum you may enjoy this.

The controls using the controller are very bad.
the Fog of war in the exploration is not well implemented.
The fighting and the gathering (or any action) are very clunky.

Nice job AtomTeam!

Really like what they have done here. Some of the quests are well written and creative. You can get surprised here and there from various things. I think in some ways it is better than BG2, so far.
I wish these Devs had of handled the enhanced versions of Baldur's gate 1 and 2.

I've spent almost two hours making animal control: I've fought lizards, wolves, rats and bees. I was lured by the 'low magic' advertisement, but I was hoping it to be more real and less fantasy. I should've trusted the game's cover. It's not for me.
