As much as I want to push through this for its creepy atmosphere and music, and cool imagery, the movement is ridiculously slow, even by walking sim standards. There's one of three constant walking speeds, which automatically changes depending on the scene: slow, slower, slowest. No sprint or faster walk button. I understand the intent of wanting the player to feel unease as they soak in everything--but for me, forcing it like this only instills frustration. When I'm effectively immersed and engaged, a game doesn't need such restrictions, because I'll be walking slowly of my own accord.
Early on, I made a jump that for some reason turned the walking speed as slow as possible, and it wasn't until I fell to my death and restarted the section that I was back to my normal sloth's pace. Either way, long stretches of just holding W to go forward. If the developer patches the game and addresses this without interfering with the SFX/BGM cues and what have you, I'd gladly give it another shot. I was starting to encounter some more interactive elements in the level design.

Great "walking simulator" with a lot of trippy ideas and effects. ~3 hours long, so you can be the judge if that translates into being worth the cash (I thought it was, but I value shorter games with creativity personally). Only real gripe was that there's no option to play the game in windowed mode, but that's not a huge deal so whatever. Worth your time whether you get it immediately or wait a bit to grab it at a discount.
