Trails in the Sky FC was a great game even if it was so outdated. Story is phenomenal and the start of one of the biggest overarching stories in all of gaming history.
This addition to the series of Trails lets newer players start fresh with updated graphics and music while still keeping the story and feel of the first game true.
If you LOVE a great story with characters who you will get to know across the entire series along with some of the most memorable songs for JRPGs, this is the game for you.
I see Estelle Bright, I buy game if I have enough on hand, simple as.
Do I need to write up a review to explain why I recommend this game? REALLY? Estelle Bright and Joshua Bright are going on an adventure again but in glorious remake with numerous QOL things and more modernized Legend of Heroes mechanics though still very faithful to original as in-game timeline had older technology around this time so you using the old orbital system.
What you waiting for, buy the game, experience Estelle Bright's roots and how her relationship with Joshua developed.
This is the best JRPG I have ever played in my life - and I've been playing them since 1993.
There are far more reviews here that can go into further depth, I'm just a simple man whose favorite genre is JRPG, and I've played many of them....... perhaps not to completion, but many. This one is something incredibly special.
The original was already one of my favorites aside from Lunar and Tales of Symphonia, but this...... please, do yourself a favor, and play this game.
Probably one of the best remakes ever made. It's insane what Falcom accomplished this time.
If you like RPG's then you can't miss this one, be ready for a lot of reading tho.
might be just my rig, but the ssao on high seems to stutter a bit inside certain buildings, ( most of the time are hotels) while others are at max setting are fine

Yes, the game is absolutely as Steam tells me: Similar games you've played: Hogwarts Legacy and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - a true masterpiece, I love it! This will be my absolute Game of the Year! Thanks for this. ❤️
Even the time-wasting of collecting some of the possible achievements in the demo beforehand, only to then not get them in the full version, is brilliant.

And of course, it doesn't matter that technical issues make selling the Season Pass or Digital Deluxe Edition impossible—because you can simply sell all the DLC included in the Season Pass individually, exploiting fans much more effectively. It's odd that individual DLCs can be sold, but the Season Pass or Deluxe Edition can't. But no matter—true fanboys and fangirls will buy them and pay for them, and in the end, they'll pay more! Great work. GungHo truly understands how to milk their fans. That deserves praise and recognition. ❤️

Has no one noticed that Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter exists twice on Steam?
Sora no Kiseki the 1st is the exact same game – just with fewer languages, but with a direct 10% discount – Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter did not receive such a discount. To avoid the whole thing getting exposed, they even specified a different publisher. Again a great job. 🤣

They have completely forgotten about regional pricing, and I had to pay full price.
But it was the price I had to play the remake of one of my all-time favorite games
Just started playing, but I'm super surprised about how good the game looks graphic wise and how smooth it feels to play. Compared to the most recent Trails games, I would say this is definitely many steps up in terms of production quality.
As always the voice acting and music is great, but I'm also surprised with the amount of voice acting so far. Will have to see how it ends up, but it seems like they definitely put more effort into the voice acting quantity/quality compare to recent entries.
Also, the english localization is very natural and seems spot on with the Japanese (Daily japanese user and when comparing the english text to the spoken Japanese, nothing has felt out of place yet).
Look forward to playing more!
The dream remake is finally here, and it's peak. It's the perfect place to start with the Trails series. You owe it to yourself to go and play this gem. Estelle is also super based. Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go and 100% this game for the third time.
some would consider the Trails in the Sky games to be a little outdated, i for example didnt like the lack of waypoints and the fixed camera didnt compliment the game as it did with trails from zero and trails to azure. this remake solves this problem, and holy sht, its really good.
its basically the game if it were made in 2025, and it feels authentic.
This remake is nothing short of amazing! As a newcomer to the Trails series, I couldn't be happier with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. The game oozes charm, the protagonists are lovable from the get go, the music is memorable and the combat is tight and feels super satisfying! I really can't wait to see what the story has to offer, as I've heard great things about it! Also, the animations look really smooth and beautiful, and they really bring the characters to life! The Japanese dub is excellent as well. Based on what I've seen so far, I'd say the price is justified.
Also, Estelle is Bestelle!
