my brother ran me over with the cart, picked me up and proceeded to use my body to kill a monster. after said monster was killed, he then threw me into a bottomless pit, killing me. took me to the extraction point to revive me, left me to find my way back to the truck, didnt wait for me at the truck, making me self-destruct. 10/10 game.

This game is solid. I don't know what possessed the developer to use an emoji as the main banner/logo for the game... It makes it look like a scam or a terrible greenlight game that was made for a joke but it's actually better than other extraction horror games

I've seen this game before on Steam, but because of the emoji thing, I thought this was some stupid game that a Russian guy made while he was drunk, so naturally I did not care. Then I came across videos of the game and looked into it. The game is INCREDIBLY fun and even in early access it's definitely one of the best of its kind, but
THAT EMOJI NEEDS TO GO.
Edit: The thumbnail they used on the release trailer is much, much better than this goofy looking banner, because the player model is shown too (and emoji doesn't look goofy that much). That or something like that could be better if they don't want to get rid of the emoji.

R.E.P.O. is good! this review is calling the game good! you can tell this by the little thumbs up, which means "recommended". This is how steam reviews work. However, the banner makes it RESEMBLE at first glance other games on steam which are bad, mostly the genre of ipad kid skibidi brainrot backrooms asset flips.
Because of the resemblance, people might assume R.E.P.O. is also an ipad kid skibidi brainrot backrooms asset flip and scroll past. Which according to many other reviews is true, people are having to convince their friends "no i promise ignore the banner its a good game", and people saying they themselves ignored the game based on the banner until someone else convinced them. If the very first thing people see of your game is making people scroll past, its bad marketing!

Whenever I see that a game is as hyped up as R.E.P.O, I approach it with so much caution. High expectations can easily lead you to be disappointed, even if the game is actually good. I avoided it for a while but when my friend and I were in desperate need of a new game, I finally took the plunge for R.E.P.O and god damn I wish I had got this sooner. There is no disappointment at all because this more than lives up to the hype!!!
Pro's:
+ You can actually get revived mid round, so it's not a guarantee death will have you watching on and sadly munching on popcorn, as you wait to see if your team lives or dies.
+ We haven't exactly gotten too far since we play as a team of two and we're still learning, but it seems relatively well balanced with achievable quota's. We've had problems with other games where we know for sure it'll be game over when we hit a certain point
+ Really cool monster design. We haven't seen them all yet but there's so much 'What the hell is that???' yelling when we play. They seem to have pretty unique mechanics to them.
+ Having an upgrade system to boost your stats is a great idea for a game like this
+ Nice QOL thing where once you hit the quota, you can check your map to help find your way out. The map is also super useful in general.
+ Super fun little mini game after a team K.O that will definitely bring out the worst in you
+ The game is hilarious to play. My jaw was actually aching after a three hour session because I'd been laughing my ass off for so long. Those big eyes and crouches just broke me each time and the fact you can pick a crouching party member up? Love it! Put my friend on the top shelf in the shop and threw him to his death at one point.
+ Unique items. I love how picking up certain things can trigger certain things to happen.
+ Teamwork can actually be optimal! Usually it's a split up to cover more ground type of things but when you're needing to drag a huge ass item around, you got to work together... and yell a little when one of you accidentally smashes it against a wall because they moved too carelessly.
+ I love the designs of the places you explore! All unique from each other and different in theme
+ Actually a little scary sometimes. I have run screaming from a room once or twice... or five times... or ten...
+ The duck!!!! Love that lil fella, even if he killed my friend one time...and maybe me

This game is just so much fun to play and it has a cute charm to it too. It's a game you can tell so much love and time was put into it, and it's such a blast to play. I'm so glad that it was able to gain such attention because it honestly deserves it.

Oh my -- I haven't laughed this hard in ages. 40 year old mom here & gifted this to my 20-something yr old kiddos so they would play with me. I've never had so much fun chasing my son around an arena with a Saw telling him he's a b**tc** while his only defense was an inflatable hammer. I'm seriously crying from laughing so hard. THIS. IS. AWESOME. You guys certainly have something special here and I can't wait to see how this evolves. <3 <3 THANK YOU!!! (I almost didn't play this because there isn't controller support, but glad I did. First time playing a game with keyboard/mouse and it's not so bad! - still wish I could use my controller though lol)

I saw funny shorts on tiktok and facebook about repo. I wanted this game really bad ... but you can only play with your friends and not online with randoms. And the singleplayer is not the same experience. Sadly I don't have friends to play so I had to refund :/

they should slowly respawn more items and spawn more enemies if my team has been jerking off for 30 minutes on the same map because 4 dead ppl watching 1 living dude walk around and stroke it gets crazy fucking boring
